::The store sold a defective laptop and refused to replace or refund claiming "possible water damage". After service replaced the piece, refused again and began to claim the few stains (easily wiped with napkin) and few scratches (barely visible and obtained probably at repair shop as they are around screws and similar to ones the screwdriver can leave) are actual reason. Totally unsatisfied.

::The version of Staples in the Province of Quebec is âBureau en Gros.â At the time (8pm) of my visit on 09 November, the store was not busy, with hardly any customers. The scanning process was not very self explanatory or to my eyes not very user friendly. I asked for help. Regrettably, the evening employee at the counter was not at all helpful or service oriented. I asked for the manager and was told by him that âtheyâre not there to explain how to use the system.â I was surprised by his answer, and told him that I could understand that the Customer Services Reps may not have time if the store was full and they were busy, but that on this particular evening the Reps were visibly chatting and did not seem busy. To the managerâs credit, he gave me with a few helpful pointers to navigate the system, yet this was merely in reaction to my comment. A better reply wouldâve been for the Customer Service Rep to provide the same few pointers and try to see the situation from the paying customerâs point of view. The level of service is not what Iâm used to from other experiences at Staples, and I donât recommend this location if youâre not tech savvy or can speak French as well as the employees.
