::A five star review! Assayyed is a very large restaurant with ample parking. The owner is wonderfully friendly, so full of passion for his food and clearly ready to assist and serve you the minute walk in the door. The decor is unique and eclectic and feels comfortable. This owner has put so much into the place but it is empty. I don't know that enough people realize it even exits. I would like to see the signs off the restaurant as there are far too many (very cluttered). The menu is massive and I do recommend you give it a try, you won't get better service and you will taste the love in the food that is presented.

::Honestly this is one of the best restaurants in Ottawa,, the food is fresh and delicious. The server is so polite and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

::It was a stop for dinner on my way back to Toronto after visiting Ottawa. Awesome place for family and kids.. steak was cooked to perfection Juicy all the way and amazin falvor. Kids had the chicken sandwich with no fuss at all.. Chef was excellent and he mentioned that they would be opening a shawarma program as well. Wold be awesome for a quick lunch or a meal when on the go. I wold recommend visiting this place and tasting the food and you will be going back for more.. Feel like driving back again..

::We had today a family dinner. I ordered lamb meat with rice, gravy, and salad. In simple few words, This is by far the best lamb I have ever tasted.

::We had an absolutely amazing time at this hidden gem... The chef really knows the intricacies of different cuts of steak and his recommendations were all incredibly delicious... From the appetizer of scrumptious soup to the perfectly cooked surf and turf main course topped with the most amazing saffron desert and even better service!!! This place is A+ and a must for all steak lovers!!!! Best halal steak joint in Ottawa...
