  Had lunch at the cafe the other day service was great the young lady Jessica was very nice had a panini which was very good, love the new renovations will definitely go back with my my friends for lunch again

  I had entered this empty café in the mid-afternoon on Saturday. The three folks who worked there glared at me, as it seemed that I had interrupted something. Fair enough, it's mid afternoon, this is often the only time that restaurant staff can breath on a weekend. I only wanted a coffee and a quick lunch, nothing special. I ordered an Americano, and when I asked, shortly thereafter, if I could switch my order to a mocha, the staff feigned ignorance, asking, "what is a mocha?". I explained it to them, they continued to have a confused look and so I said an Americano is fine. I intended to get lunch and explained as such, saying I would have the gnocchi. I had read the menu posted outside, and so was able to order before they brought me a menu. My order was ignored. About five minutes after I entered, three white folks came in to eat. They were promptly attended to; the staff conversed and laughed with them. They received menus before me, and had their orders taken before the staff even came to my table to drop off a menu. At no time did they try to re-take my order after forgetting that I asked for gnocchi when I first entered. Further, it was only after these other customers came in that the staff turned off the TV that they were watching, all the while seeing that I was reading. I don't expect to be accommodated, but I do expect to receive the same service as anyone else. I was throughly dissappointed, which is a shame because they do have a nice piece of property (big windows looking out onto Preston street, and nice tiled floors). However, I will not be visiting there again.

  Very nice waitress. Mediocre food. OK price. Wont be back
