  Thank you so much Alta Vista for the beautiful arrangement delivered to my niece & sister. I had a typo on the delivery address & Alta vista was quick to contact me & to correct my error. Much appreciated. The flowers are beautiful as well.

  Karen’s Recipe for Disaster! March 29/18, 3:30pm. From start to finish, Karen, the owner/manager, made it clear she had absolutely no professionalism and a huge ego! She tried to cheat my daughter out of $150.23! The flower arrangement did not resemble the bouquet ordered for me online. It was sparse and the roses were completely brown on all edges. This was clearly illustrated in the photos I sent to Karen, yet she insisted I drive the so called “deluxe bouquet” to her store. She wouldn’t return my call as promised after seeing the pictures I emailed her, then told me she was too busy with a funeral order to bother with me (I kept calling). Later she said I had to bring them tomorrow before the end of the business day. I asked when she would be working so I could meet with her personally…she told me that was none of my business. When I arrived today, March 30/18, 11 am, Karen attempted to grab the vase from me and walk away. I insisted on a receipt for a full refund first. She stood there lying saying she couldn’t see the brown on the roses and didn’t mention how small the arrangement was. I even asked the lovely lady working the adjoining bakery counter to come to view the brown petals. As well, I showed her the online photo which was obviously a much bigger and fresher bouquet. She couldn’t believe the difference and said perhaps her son, the co-owner, could help. When Karen brought me the receipt minus $22.60 for the delivery charges I questioned why she would have allowed this order to be sent and my daughter should not have to pay for the delivery. She quickly scooped up the vase and scooted to the back of her store and hid. She literally wouldn’t come back to resolve the issue. I announced to the half dozen customers on the bakery side to witness what she was doing as she fled. My daughter and I spend a lot of money every year on flowers from different shops around the world and we know the value of a quality bouquet. Karen uses her position to take advantage of good people. She still refuses to pay the full amount annnnnd we all know she’s reusing these flowers!

  Ordered flowers for our grandsons funeral and had the pleasure of dealing with Annabelle. We wanted a specific FTD arrangement and she was able to create a beautiful facsimile (as some of the flowers were not available). We were so pleasantly surprised at how elegantly beautiful the flower arrangement was. (Thank you so much Annabelle).   I grew up in Ottawa and our family always called the family owned business Alta Vista flowers. They always provided personal service and delivered quality flowers for us at very reasonable price. Since moving to Toronto, I feel confident to call them directly when I need flowers. just this week I had them deliver flowers to the Heart Institute at the Civic. As I hoped, they came through for me with a beautiful bouquet of quality Spring flowers. It was so nice to speak directly to the florist owners and get personal service when you are worried about a loved one having open heart surgery.   Many times before I had booked online for flowers but the real product was so different from the website pictures. For the first time, the flowers were even more beautiful in real life - lovely intense as well as pastel colours, shapes and overall arrangement in a nice glass vase. They also delivered despite the recipient arriving home late. Only thing - a small packet of flower food would have been great too! This will be my shop for all future flower deliveries in Ottawa!
