::Probably the worst place downtown to go eat in Montreal. They put on a table a ketchup bottle 90% empty, the fries were a mix a 2 different bags... it was a ridiculous dinner... avoid at all price!!

::I stopped in for an event in their upstairs bar. It is a nice location that was very clean. The whole of upstairs smelled of cigars due to their cigar lounge that is supposed to be separated from the rest of the establishment. Only had finger food which was good. I had a pint of Guinness which cost $13.50 a pint. Don't think I'll go back.

::Hate to be writing this as, back in the day, Alexandre couldn't be faulted for their food. Unfortunately, after my last visit I will not be returning, A simple bowl of french onion soup on a cold winter day (and in a supposedly French bistro) was tasteless brown water with mucky croutons and tasteless mozzarella cheese. The owner should be sampling his kitchens output on a more regular basis. I hope this was a bad day with a replacement chef..

::I did not believe that I could have steak and fries (fries) that was terrible. Well, that's right, the Alexandre did it. They made me the worst steak and fries EVER! It is a perfect "O!" The steak was overcooked, it tasted like charcoal, and it lack flavour altogether. In fact, I bet that steak cost them $2 based on it quality. Please note the fries were old and greasy. I would have sent it all back; however, the wait staff was MIA for the meal. They never came by at all to ask about the meal from me. WAIT, that's not true; they only came back when my beer was emptied, and I had stopped eating. I added two photographs 1) Alexandre called them their best chicken wings; I call them gummy and under-roasted they tasted as if they had come from a box, and 2) Steak and fries (I added the butter). Please notice the presentation. Would you believe that I spent $13 on the wings and $28 on the steak and fries. Can you say Sucker! I will not come back. I suggest that you don't waste your time there either.
