Do not live here!!! Besides the insane cost of rent for the quality/size of apartment you're getting, there's also the following... First off, we were promised storage cages and secure bike racks when we signed our lease last April. Months later, after my partners bike had been stolen, we asked about these and they said no such thing was promised. And offered no compensation for the bike. We then had to store our 2 bikes in our tiny one bed apartment! Which brings me to the next point... ZERO storage space!!! We had 3 wardrobes, one of which was used for everything!! Food, pots/pans, cleaning equipment, extra coats, sheets, towels, etc. All squashed in together because there is nowhere to put anything! If you don't like sweating non-stop, this apartment is also not for you. The heat there during the summer was unbearable, fan going all day and night just to be comfortable, I'm sure the floors above us were worse. We lived directly above the new boxing studio on 9th Ave. We were woken at 5.30am every morning for months before they finally did something, which wasn't much! We could still hear the boxing below us, at least everything in our apartment was no longer vibrating. It took almost 2 months to get our broken microwave fixed. Eventually, in January/February, they started building storage cages, 19 of them. Clearly not enough for the whole building. They were untouched until we left at the end of April, and they will probably just lie there untouched for months to come. That's my personal experience, the other review speaks about the horrible conditions in the public hallways which I also witnessed. Save your money and look elsewhere!

As a former tenant of Strategic Group, my opinion and recommendation for anyone considering leasing with Strategic Group is simple: Don't. I was a tenant at the 1410 Inglewood building located at 1410 9 Ave SE, oversaw by property manager Cameron Finlayson. The staff and representatives were seen to have a pleasant demeanor (the exception being the property manager), but unfortunately impossible to communicate with, most notably the property manager who would often never respond to calls, emails, or in-person visits to the Strategic office. The leasing incentives that they promised, and had been specifically discussed with the property manager, before signing the lease were immediately discarded and had to be debated for months before finally being honored. Certainly, some things were largely out of their control. Such as: the numerous domestic disputes that occurred in hallways and public areas, significant urine and fecal presence in hallways and public areas, and numerous break-ins and incidents of property damage to tenant vehicles in 'secured' parking areas. However, the response to this was, in my opinion, abhorrent, disgusting and repugnant. Blood spatter on walls and stairwells resulting from domestic disturbances - remained there, uncleaned for days or weeks. Clear evidence, including feces and urine pools, were commonly found and yet remained often for days or weeks at a time. Break-ins and property damage were, as a Strategic employee told me "...A tenant responsibility to keep areas secure, and if additional security measures have to be put in place, the tenants will be required to cover the costs". Maintenance requests went unanswered, often for months at a time. Several building upgrades that were discussed and agreed upon have still, almost a full year later, not even been started. This wouldn't be an issue, if not for the apparent wide-spread corner cutting when it comes to building standards. My own personal experience: Evidence of construction hadn't been cleaned away prior to handing the keys over. Several electrical outlets were either non-functioning or wired incorrectly. Entire pieces of granite (over 50 pounds in weight) were not simply improperly secured, but there was no evidence that they had ever attempted to be secured in the first place. Appliances (all 'brand new') were prone to malfunction, breakage and failure after just a few weeks of light usage. Several light fixtures were not properly secured, and one even suddenly fell from the ceiling and struck a tenant in the head. These were handled in the following ways: Cleanliness of the unit was deemed a 'tenant issue'. Electrical outlets took just over a week to be repaired. It took over 2 months for someone to secure the granite with some standard glue. Appliances were not repaired or maintained during the entirety of the lease. When reporting the light fixture incident and injury to Strategic, a Strategic employee simply stated that "You'll have to take legal action, we're not going to do anything." While I can't speak on the behalf of others, in discussion it appeared that over a dozen tenants experienced similar or identical issues, with similar or identical feelings of neglect and ineptitude directed towards the property management company, Strategic Group.
