  There are reasons for why it is just a 2. Food/Price- The food was good! Albeit rather meager, especially for the price ($12 for a simple tart!), it was tasty. The menu was concise but diverse. Atmosphere- Nothing to run home about. Your typical hotel restaurant atmosphere. Service. Dreadful. Absolutely unrecognized. Prices of restaurants should reflect the service. This does not. It took forever just to be seated. 30 minutes for an entree. 15 minites for an entree. 30 minutes for a check. My party had 2 appetizers, 3 desserts, approximately $70-80 without tip. 90ish minutes for a minimal amount of food and service (water wasn't a given!) is completely unacceptable.

  You always know what you're getting at a Fairmont Property. Great service, great good.

  Very slow service. Half empty on Feb 17 and took 15 minutes for coffee and 35 minutes for eggs Benedict. Tired decor. Overpriced for small portions. Not 5* luxury as advertised.

  The breakfast buffet is NOT worth the $30 per person price. So much of the food was stale or cold - from the breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, beans, pancakes, etc., etc. etc. All were in little bowls, with tiny portions left, so it was mindboggling how they weren't refreshed periodically to ensure freshness and proper temperature over the entire course of our dining experience. I guess other patrons weren't eating these items to finish the bowl off, so they weren't being refreshed?! The omelettes are nice because they are freshly prepared and made to order so they are hot and fresh but this doesn't make up for the disappointing rest. The staff are pretty friendly, especially the gentleman making the omelettes and crepes. We shared our concerns with our waitress and at first she was very defensive but then changed her tone. The manager offered his apologies and a discount/fresh pancakes brought to our table, which we of course appreciated, but it's sad for all who dine here, that a Fairmont would have this low quality of food, at this price and we didn't see that any of the items were replaced at the main buffet, so the cold, stale options continued to be served to others.

  Nice room, beautiful views! Quality food, always made right and fresh daily. New Years brunch was $90, each person.
