  Beautiful nails at affordable prices. The salon is extremely clean, particularly the pedicure tubs. The use tub liners and are careful to wipe everything down after each us. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The owner, Kim, is my favourite. She does a great job and is very artistic. I am on my third consecutive set from here and have not had any lifting, chipping or braking.

  This has been the worst nail experience I’ve ever had in my life. To start off I walk in, and none of the ladies bother to acknowledge me. Not that I care, but when the next lady walks in, they give a full warm welcoming. So I sit at the chairs for 15 minutes after my appointment is sopposed to be at, which is fine. But then the ladies start to argue who’s going to do my nails. So the Chinese girl who normally does my nails starts them, but waves at a new white girl who I’ve never seen there before to do them. The new girl starts placing my acrylic nail part on but when it came to clipping off the length of the the acrylic nails THE GIRL TAKES A CHUNK OF MY SKIN OFF WITH THE FAKE NAIL WITH NAILCLIPPERS. I don’t say anything because I think well she’s new here and everybody makes mistakes, but when she notices she acts as if nothing is wrong and just daps at my blood with a tissue. I’m still not really caring at this point because like I said everyone makes mistakes. But then the girl just puts the file with my blood on it under the desk and asks the Chinese girl for another file. THIS FILE WAS THE ONE THE CHINESE GIRL WAS USING ON ANOTHER CLIENT, SO THE DEAD SKIN FROM THE OTHER GIRL GOES IN MY CUT THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSANITARY AND UNPROFESSIONAL I AM VERY UNIMPRESSED AND WONT BE GOING BACK THEY USED TO BE MY FAVOURITE NAIL PLACE IN TOWN 10/10 don’t recommend but the other times I’ve been have been fine so suit yourself if you want to risk it

  I'll start with the cons: As a nail tech in training, I noticed a lot of unsanitary practices taking place, such as using the the same e-file that was used on my toes, on my sister's toe nail. She was sitting beside me and had left a bit of her old gel polish on. They didn't change the tip out...just reached over and quickly filed away the remnants of her polish before returning to my foot to file more dead skin from around my nail and on the nail bed itself. I was in awe. The nail dust was everywhere. Technicians had on face masks, which is pretty standard but I felt like I needed one seeing all the e-filing going on and not noticing any real ventilation. The board they brought out with samples of all the gel polish colors was covered in nail (and likely dead skin) dust. I personally do not love jetted foot spa tubs... Unless they have a disposable liner that's changed after every client. Unfortunately they do not do that here. I'm glad we were there earlier in the day when the tubs would have been exposed to fewer clients feet. The bacteria that can grow in those tubs can be pretty nasty and I think the worry of possibly getting my own bout of foot fungus does take away some of the enjoyment in the whole experience. The cheese grater... Pedicure rasp.... Well, not my favorite. The nail tech was a bit rough with it and areas of my foot felt raw afterwards. Now the pros: The price was great. It was nearly half of what my sister and I normally spend at other salons or spas and they also had a special on that included a paraffin wax treatment with a gel polish pedicure. The staff were very nice and friendly. We were offered drinks and we were included in the chat that was going on around us. It was a very nice atmosphere and I really enjoyed it. At the end of the pedicure, my toes looked great. My feet were a bit sore in spots, but my toe nails looked cute. So, go here if you want to have a happy atmosphere combined with a fast and cheap pedicure. If you are looking for a more clean and sanitary experience, pay the extra and go to a spa. My sister and I have been to a few places for pedicures now and I personally loved Azure Aesthetics the most. It is the most expensive so far but such a great experience... And this is a whole different review to be saved for another day. :)
