Best place in town. You'll be walking out of the store with something in your hands. But,wise shoppers always look at better pricing also.

Not the best one in the city, I find that alot of the "good items" are gone quickly because of the location and traffic. However store size and layout are good. Staff are friendly and new stuff is constantly being switched out. Just watch out for the regulars scavaging the carts for the things you need wanted.

Although there are thousands of pieces of clothing I didn't go through that department. I looked more at the house hold items. I found those prices very reasonable. There is a large selection of small house hold appliances on their shelves. The staff was very friendly towards us.

This is the place to go for used clothing. Some great prices on slightly used clothes, helps the budget, the environment and the economy. And I don't mind when I ruin some clothing doing work. Don't be a snob, worn once, all clothes are used....

The employee's name is Sharon. If the higher-ups don't do anything about this (Mike, don't worry, you could not have possibly known if it was intentional or not), maybe the people will do something after seeing this review. :) Today, I went into Value Village and saw an Asian woman, clearly upset at the jewelry salesperson. It was obvious that her English isn't very good so I chimed in in hopes of clearing up any miscommunication. I found out that a lady came to the jewelry showcase and saw the saleswoman pricing a jade bangle. When the lady asked the saleswoman if she could buy the bangle, the saleswoman rudely replied that she'd have to wait until the bangle is in the showcase. The lady was waiting for her husband to pick her up anyways, so she loitered around the jewelry case for about an hour and a half, waiting for the bangle. Eventually, the lady got bored and wandered away from the showcase. Not even thirty seconds later the saleswoman puts the bangle into the showcase and someone else buys it. They then start arguing and that's where I came in. I translated as a neutral party between those two and tried to diffuse the situation. Contrary to what the saleswoman said, the lady was NOT being disruptive or harassing the employee while she waited as I have witnessed with my own eyes and ears. Eventually the manager came over and diffused the situation. Whatever, that's just bad luck, right? After the lady left the store, I wandered around for a while, looking at blouses. Eventually I found a few ones that I liked and tried them out in the mirror. While buttoning one of the shirts up, I heard "He (the manager) always covers for me" along with a little laugh and I see the saleswoman walking past me, talking to a friend of hers. She notices me, laughs with her friend as if something naughty has just transpired, and quickened their pace. Make whatever you will out of this. I originally thought that the lady just had incredibly bad luck but after hearing what transpired between the employee and her friend, I believe that this misfortune was intentionally placed upon the poor old woman. I have no idea if it's something against the old woman personally or just plain old racism, but for the time being I would advise for fellow Asians to avoid this store at all costs until this matter has been resolved.
