::I have been going to the Old Mill for facials for a few years now. I am usually treated by Kasia, who is wonderful, but she is on maternity leave. At my visit last month, Annetta did my facial and sadly I was disappointed and would not recommend her. I felt Annetta did not spend the adequate amount of time on me. It felt rushed and not worth the pricey $150 cost. Firstly, Annetta did not do a skin analysis at the beginning of my treatment, to determine what types of gels and creams she would be using on my skin. Instead, when I walked into the treatment room she said âyou have great skinâ and that was it. (I appreciated the compliment but wouldâve still liked a quick analysis (under the strong light) to ensure my skin gets the treatment it needs! After all isnât it called a âpersonalizedâ facial?). During the facial, Annetta commented that I had bags under my eyes and that I should purchase the âadd-onâ eye mask. I said yes. In my mind, I thought this add-on service would mean an additional 10-15 minutes after my 1 hour facial. But no! Midway through my facial Annetta put the eye mask on and left me to be. I didnât realize that this âadd-onâ meant that my facial would be 15 minutes less. If I had known this, I wouldnât of purchased the add-on. (You pay more money to get less service? Seems counter intuitive). Lastly, with Kasia there was never a moment where I was left alone on the table. If Kasia was letting a cream sink into my skin then she would do a scalp massage or a hand massage. I didnât like how Annetta left me on the table during the eye-mask while she wrote notes. Not only could she have written these notes after the facial, but it wasnât relaxing to be lying on a table and hearing someone scribble loudly with a pen beside you. After a few minutes of lying there, I asked Annetta how long the mask would be on for, she got defensive and started to justify why she was writing notes (even though I didnât ask) and started to justify why she left me alone (because sheâs trained in relaxation or something). It got pretty uncomfortable for me. I didnât need her to justify herself; I just wanted a good facial and to get my moneyâs worth! All in all, I do still like the Old Mill Spa since I love the products they use, but in the future I will be sure to book with an esthetician that I know will do a good job.

::Amazing aromatherapy massage with paraffin treatment of my hands and feet. Felt totally pampered and my therapist constantly checked in to make sure the pressure was appropriate. Lovely place and the snacks included almonds, biscottis and apples. No pool or whirlpool but the women's locker room had a small sauna that fit one person. Very clean environment with friendly staff.
