  Geekdom. A place where grown ups can spend the money they wish they had when we were kids on board games, models, Dungeons and Dragons, books, and so much more. Need paint? They got it. Need a new model for a campaign you are running? Just ask them. Ever wanted to play test a game or have your tabletop game tested out? Do it all here! Not only that but there is a whole card game place attached to Sentry Box with a huge collection of different card games and tournaments held daily!

  What an awesome store. I have always been a huge fan of computer RPGs and have recently plunged head first into the world of table top gaming (specifically D&D). I must admit, I was very anxious when I first walked into Sentry Box but was quickly put to ease by the friendliness of the staff. I continue to be impressed by their selection and leave with something every time I visit. I am looking forward to attending more of their community events and meeting kindred gamers.

  Right, if you're searching Sentry Box then you don't need me to tell you how amazing this store is. You probably already know that this store is massive and is just about guaranteed to have whatever you need for your table top gaming experience. Whether that's racks upon racks of miniatures, the paint selection to make them look amazing, and the staff and community to learn how to do it, the giant selection of board, table top and card games, or the huge stock of books in the back, this store has you covered. I walked in one day looking to learn the basics of Mini painting and was treated to a thorough and in depth look at what the hobby is, how to start and where to go without an ounce of pressure to buy anything on the spot. Seriously I can't sing the praises of this store highly enough. Go to Sentry Box, if you don't want to invest, then rent a game, and let your inner gamer flourish.

  It's my favorite place in Calgary for all things geeky. The sheer size and selection is astounding. You want board games? They have shelves upon shelves of assorted board games for all ages, except maybe the very young. You want magic: the gathering? They have a whole back wall of Commons, plus more boosters and boxes than you can shake a stick at. Their upper level is just for tables and gaming. It's awesome.

  The shopping experience is generally great. Most of the employees are attentive to customers and enjoy sharing their mutual love of board games. Only negative is that I wish they were more competitive in their pricing. I often find myself shopping at other Canadian online board game stores to save 30-40% from what Sentry asks for. even though I would prefer to shop locally, sometimes the cost difference just does not make this a feasible option!
