::I used to go to Sunnyside Barber Shop because of their very reasonable price. Unfortunately, my haircuts were usually worth less than what I'd pay. A few months ago, they really ruined my hair by letting an apprentice cut it while entirely unsupervised. It led to the mess you can see in the attached photos. I had no idea it looked that bad until I noticed people taking photos of me on the bus. I had to get a barber at a different shop to salvage what he could but there was so little left to work with that it still looked awful. Two days and two haircuts amounted to $55 and terrible hair. Don't go to Sunnyside Barber Shop. Period.

::First time coming here Received a haircut style which I did not ask for. Cut parts of my hair which I asked not to be cut. Barber name was Issa. CONS: Asked for a skin fade, but was given a 0.5 Buzz upwards. No transition whatsoever from light to dark. Would've accepted a simple one on the side if the barber was unable to do a skin fade, however there was no communication. Also asked for hair to be thin out at the top with thinning shears, completely ignored. Student pricing is $16, gave a $20... did not bother giving back change just said "thank you and have a good day". Shoutouts to the owner however for telling the barber of his mistakes and fixing it. Genuinely cares about customer service. Avoid Issa. Owner seems great, however he was busy with his loyal clients.

::Went in around lunch time. 2 barbers working and one on lunch. Got called up within 5 mins. A guy named Dan cut my hair. Very nice guy. Not so great cut. Got a pretty typical buzz on sides and back and a trim on top. The sides and back where the top fades to the buzz is pretty uneven. So, not an awful experience, but not a great experience. Will probably try a different shop.
