Took both my cats there for the first time to get groomed...when the receptionist called to confirm the appointment she told me that it would cost around 160 which was pretty reasonable. I live about 45 min away when I brought in my cats I asked again about the price and the receptionist said 120 for the short hair and 140 was for the long hair cat I mentioned that those were not the prices I was told so she continued to tell me how the receptionist thought it was only one cat, still I don't know where the 160 came from, but since I drove so far and had to wait weeks before my appointment I just ended up leaving them there...when I came to pick up my cats the groomer had mentioned a small "scratch" on. My cats nipple which I believed and didn't proceed to check since she was already in the cage when I got home I noticed one of my cats acting strange and licking her nipple so when I checked I found her nipple completely cut off!!! It was all red I couldn't believe that the groomer compared a scratch to a cut off nipple like there was no nipple there!!! When I called to complain they told me that it happens all the time !!! Really??? My poor baby she must of been in so much pain. They never offered me a refund for her or anything and they never even called to check up on her like they said they would! Horrible place definitely not worth taking your pet there.

This is the second time I took my cat to get a wash, dry and grooming. She loves going to see them and the results are amazing. Highly recommend them for cat grooming.

I don’t usually write reviews but I have been taking my dogs here for many years but I recently found out that my favorite groomer Juju has left. She is the only reason why I continued bringing my dogs here because I have trusted her and my dogs love her. I wasn’t happy with the price increase but was willing to pay the price for that peace of mind that my dogs are well-taken cared of by her. Keep in mind that my dogs are not the greatest in grooming. So I’m extremely unhappy. With all that said, I have noticed that this place has had a big turn over of employees. Front staff aren’t friendly and helpful. More reason for me to be uneasy to hand over my dogs to strangers every time. I only trusted Juju. Now, I’m off to finding a new groomer in the neighborhood and hoping I can find her.

Today we took our kitty to Spaw Boutique for the second time. The first time was fine, although our kitty, who is the most docile, never-afraid-of-grooming cat in the world, ended up with a cut (which she'd never had before in 7 years of fairly regular grooming). The groomer seemed to feel quite bad about it, so we let it go, and it didn't impact our decision to return. Today, we returned for a second time. Before going, I got a call to confirm the appointment, advising me that prices had been increased by 15% because of minimum wage increases. We decided to proceed with the appointment. Today, we picked our baby up and I can assure you - we'll never bring her back again. She came back to us with her paws wrapped up in yellow tape, as both front paws were bleeding. Apparently they dry cats' hair in a cage and she was so afraid of the dryer, that she cut herself on the sides of the cage (just having a cage is an interesting choice, when glass options exist, as a glass area is what my prior groomer used). Beyond the cut paws, and the advisory that we should go to the vet tomorrow to get antibiotics, the hair cut was not up to par. The groomer barely, and very unevenly, trimmed her paws and left an unappealing tuft of hair on one side of her neck. And that's just what can be captured by photo. To top it all off, we walked out paying $160. Absolute absurdity. Interestingly, in between groomings, while cutting my cat's nails at home, I noticed that she all of a sudden started getting antsy when I would cut her nails, even biting me. As a 7-year old cat, I found it odd that she would all of a sudden start reacting like that to me cutting her nails, an activity she'd never so much as flinched as a reaction to in the past. Now, I'm genuinely concerned that her experience at Spaw is what has changed her behaviour. With her poor paws the way they are currently, I imagine we'll have long-standing issues whenever grooming her in the future. Very sad, as grooming is an unfortunate necessity with her crazy Persian hair. Edit: this matter was resolved promptly and with compassion, almost/possibly to the point that I would take my cat back. Props to Amber for making me feel much better for what happened and for taking ownership of the situation. Much appreciated.
