Worst place to fill your scripts in Victoria! They refused after charging my medication to my coverage to give me my medication!?!? Are you seriously wanting lawsuits for fraud??? Whole staff even outside of the pharmacy needs a good sack in the head! Such dumb customer service!

Mimi the pharmacist was very professional and welcoming. I came today on Sunday, January 21st @ 9:30pm and she solved all my flu issues (runny nose, nausea, and migraines) all in one go! She was extremely down to earth, listened to my every concern, and had an answer for everything. I have interacted with many other pharmacists before and Mimi was the only one who has given me top notch customer service (enough so to write this review). She honestly made my day. Thanks so much Mimi!

One of the ladies in Cosmetics literally lied to my mother about a Chanel cologne being discontinued. She wanted to buy it for me for Christmas and because you didn't carry it and she wanted a sale she was lied to. Pretty pathetic and a huge waste of our time and money.

As much as the rest of the shoppers drug mart is amazing. I had the absolute worst treatment this evening from a security guard and it completely changed my mind about this location after the staff allowed me to be treated in the manner. What was I doing that was so wrong? I reached over an area that was marked off to not enter to grab a product I wanted to purchase. I didn’t even physically enter the area (which is open 364 days a year otherwise) to grab facial cleansing wipes. He told me I had to leave the store as I was trespassing and that I was banned from the store. I asked if he was joking and he said no and yelled at me. He wouldn’t allow me to grab my husband who was still in the store. He just yelled at me. For grabbing a product that is for sale all the time all day except for this particular day. So not only did the store miss this sale today but I won’t be returning. Also I will make sure that everyone at shoppers drug mart where I spend an extreme amount of money every year and the security company that ‘Keegan’ works for are fully aware of how he treats customers. Instead of asking me not to cross a line he kicked me out. I wasn’t loud or obnoxious or doing anything wrong other than reaching for an item.

Cosmetics Boutique Gets 5 Stars. Rest of Store at This Location Gets 1 - 2 stars. Here's Why: Expect great service when the cosmetics boutique is open. The girls in this department are always super friendly and helpful. The selection in the overall store is great. And I am a regular customer of 3 different Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Victoria. I use this one when I'm already shopping at Uptown, and when I need something after 9pm. Here's where my service experience took a steep decline. The cosmetics boutique used to be open late (until 12 midnight, if I correctly recall). In recent times, it has been closing at 9pm while the rest of the store stays 'open.' The cosmetics boutique carries all the higher-end brands while the remaining part of the store carries your standard drug-store brand cosmetics, OTC medication and groceries. Not realizing the cosmetics boutique was closed at 9pm, my cousin and I (both of us clean-cut, well-dressed women), decided to peruse the rest of the store for a new concealer and hair-dye. At first, the security guard on staff was accomodating and explained that he'd be closing the regular makeup isle shortly. Confused---because the regular makeup isle wasn't part of the closed beauty boutique--I asked if the entire store was closing, to which he replied "No, but we close off this section too." I was still confused (because this part of the store is usually open all night). I wasted no time trying to pick out a colour of concealer when I was approached again by the same security guard. This time he abrubtly asked me to stop what I was doing and leave this area of the store. I asked him what the problem was and he replied "I don't know whether you are trying a tester or opening product." Embarrassed, I showed him the red tester sticker on the sample I was trying and offered to show him the display I got it from. He refused my explanation and asked me again to stop what I was doing and leave this section of the store. I asked again "so it's not okay for me to purchase makeup from your store?" and he said "not if you want to try something. If you want to try something, you come back when the beauty boutique section of the store is open tomorrow." I replaced the tester I was trying and joined my cousin in the hair-dye isle while the rude security guard proceeded to tape off the cosmetics isle with a makeshift baracade fashioned from flattened cardboard boxes and tape (classy!). The security guard paced slowly past my cousin and I while she picked out a box of hair-colour. To which I taunted "would you like to stand with us and help us pick out a box of hair-dye or is this part of the store now closed too?). My cousin proceeded to the checkout with her box of hair-colour while the same security guard shark-eyed us until we left. I returned a few days later to share my experience with the friendly women in the Beauty Boutique. My cousin and I visited the store again last night (because she's impossible to offend and convinced me my bad experience was probably a one-time fluke). She had OTC foot ointment to pick up for her husband after 9pm.This time, the makeup isle was already taped off with makeshift cardboard baracades. There was only one cashier present and he was pleasant. And there was a different security guard this time who was planted at the checkout, and who had no qualms staring at us while we paid for our items and left the store. I'm not sure whether the vibe this store is going for is "happy to help you with your late-night shopping needs" or "welcome to a taste of San Quentin." I can imagine this location gets its fair share of sketchy visitors, but if their customer service model is to A) Treat every shopper like a sketchy shoplifter, B) Make the store security feel more present than cashiers and helpful staff, and C) Make certain isles in the store off-limits with "ghetto-fabulous" cardboard and duct-tape baracades, then close the whole store after 9pm or move to another location. I expect this kind of thing in East L.A. after dark; not Victoria, B.C.
