  Amazing food for any amount of people, lovely restaurant that makes you feel at home, amazing staff and the owner is so kind. Great place!

  My husband, son and I visited Chez Assayyed for the first time. The owner, Chef, was serving us and he was a lovely person. However, there were some negatives, sadly, before getting into the restaurant. The parking lot was full, we almost turned away. We thought the place must be packed with all of these cars. We finally found an unusual place to park and went in to find out we were the only ones in the restaurant. All the other places seem to be using the parking here. The place had an interesting look to it, a lot of wood and plants. Although the plants looked like they were in need of water. The food was very nice. We had burger/fries, Steak, salads, and beef steak wrap. The menu was huge. The salads were delicious and the steak was cooked nicely. My son really loved his wrap and my burger and fries were good but the burger was so large I could barely put it in my mouth. He served us with so much enthusiasm, and was very charming. Above all it was a good night out for dinner. You can't miss the place, they have a LOT of signs on the building. Recommend. :) *Big plus on the Mango Smoothie

  It's hard to find halal steakhouse anywhere. I have traveled to Montreal, Toronto and the halal steak house there we're ok. Who would have thought there was a halal steak house right under my nose at my home town Ottawa. After eating here I have confirm two things, first this is by far the best steak I have ever had, second Ottawa will always be the best place to eat quality food. One thing I would say to them is to change the outside decor, it looks tacky when you have pictures of burgers and fries outside of your restaurant. Interior looks good though!

  Best halal stake in Ottawa. Excellent and delicious food, freshly made. Perfect cozy environment for eating with the whole family or by yourself. Very friendly service. Will definitely be going back again soon.

  Probably the only proper Halal steakhouse in Ottawa and boy were we missing out on a good steakhouse. We ordered a rack of lamb and it was very very good, fairly priced at $33 as the portion size was pretty big. Also ordered the mix grill platter for 2 people and felt that it was fairly well done, and a bit dry. Kababs may not be their thing. The grill platter come with a side of rice and fries which were heavenly (seasoned to perfection). Overall, great steak place with a good sit down ambience but I would probably skip on the kababs.
