Now I undertand why some homeless would rather stay on the streets than here.

Go here and see what is really happening in Toronto with homelessness and why we need a solution that steps beyond shelters and these types of "temporary housing". I'm amazed by the strength of people who choose to live there and I feel sad when I realize for most of the men in this shelter there is no other option. There are drug dealers out front that don't get policed. Many of the staff are fatigued and really discredit the value of these individuals. It's so shameful to see how horrible a state we have left our city's most vulnerable. Bed bug infestations, malnourishment, and lack of resources or truly effective support and care. THESE ARE PEOPLE and they get treated like garbage and are consistently brushed off and disempowwered by both the society they live in and the places they go for help.

They take care of Refugees like they are clients and in fact, that's what they call them. One can never go hungry there.

You will likely die one way or another here. If you have no knowledge of the streets i dont reccomend this place. Staff is corrupted. Daily fights. Lots of addicts looking to steal from you. Everyone sleeps in the same room. No air circulations. Food will poison you. Anywhere is better

My boyfriend stayed here so we could get housing faster while he collecting his checks and me I'm collecting mine at my address, we saved so much money from the government pretending we were homeless and had problems. We got our Toronto Housing in less than 6months and we each get our disability checks each $1200 a month for 6 months while he stay there and fake a problem to get housing , after 6months we saved $7200 from the gullible government of Ontario LOL ...and bumming off the street to feed our drug habit . I had to post this to help others who are suffering out there , . Tell your boyfriend to go to shelter and fake it, they will believe anything you tell them, and then take the Government's money and get your housing. It's easy !, it worked for us ! and it will work for you too!
