  The River Avenue Safeway is my main supermarket - from prescriptions to breads, deli & everything in between. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the prices on produce & yogurt are very high. It's well-stacked, friendly & open till 11:00 PM, except on Sundays, when it's open till 6:00 PM. The Pharmacy is open till 9:00 PM weekdays, but closes early on weekends. Never shop when youre hungry!

  Safeway river ave is a pretty good store, they have almost everything I needed, and I could get everything else right next door at shoppers and the lc, good selection of lunch meat and its in a very central location. Lots of parking but someone in the parking lot spat on my window for parking too close I guess they couldn't fit in their door. I could get out of mine but oh well. Overall great place I come here a few times a week

  always clean, decent prices (although definitely pays to READ the 'savings' hehe) discount bin is my 'go-to' for sure!! always great things in there :)

  Grocery store in a convenient location for locals. I usually use the self checkout unless I have a cartful of items. Staff are good at there jobs. Other than that it's nothing special.

  I love this Safeway. I used to live in the village, now I'm in the exchange but I still like to drive over and shop here. It's just a really nicely laid out store, plus it had that neat village vibe going on. Very friendly staff too.
