    I called a few days ago asking for the price of the main furnace board and installation. I never got a reply. When the main blower does not initiate, the furnace shuts down due to a temperature sensor. So what was wrong with the main / blower board? The printed circuit board foil where the blower relay is soldered in was melted away. Why? Because the relay resistance increased over time caused heat and burned the foil away (this comes from being an electronics tech). So for $7.88, I installed a new Potter & Brumfield relay and repaired the board. The blower works! I guess you should have called me with pricing and installation. I win, you lose. This what happens when the HVAC crowd has a tight unionized shop. Actually, if HVAC engineers knew what they were doing, they would use solid state relays.

    I've had nothing but great experiences with Reid so far. Right before I moved into my newly purchased house, the landlord of my rental said someone was coming to service the furnace between 8AM-12PM on a Saturday. At exactly 8AM there was a knock on the door, and I was impressed with the timeliness so I got in touch for them to service my furnace at my new house. They send an email (or is it text, can't remember) when the tech is on their way and the techs are all super friendly and keep the place clean. With this great experience I decided to buy an A/C unit from Reid. Sales person Marc was so nice and helped us pick the right unit. The guys who installed it were super friendly, cleaned up after themselves, ran us through how to use it and even gave us tips to maintaining our furnace which was not installed by them. The office staff are fantastic too, and they actually answer their phones and call you back quickly if they can't. I highly recommend Reid!

    I had this company over for two different repairs of furnace and A/C issues and the work was good. The salesperson, came over because I am in the market for a new furnace and new A/C unit. The salesperson grilled me on my marital status, the ethnic origins of my last name, my marital status, the personal possessions which he saw in my home, my marital status, etc. It was a totally horrible experience full of privacy violations. The questions asked were inappropriate, unacceptable, and not related to the heating and cooling needs of my home. An independent third party who happened to be visiting at the time and overheard some of what was going on was even more disgusted with what was overheard. The company does NOT train its sales staff to respect the customer's right to privacy. The one technical question I managed to get in edgewise, the salesperson, could NOT answer. A horrible experience, a nightmare privacy violation, and a total waste of my time. UPDATE: Since I wrote this, I heard from the company owner who informed me that he would offer more sales training to his staff person. The owner is aware of the problem and from our long conversation is trying to fix the issue. The owner is aware that sales staff need to have blinders on to the customer's personal items and to the customer's social status. Salespeople need to stay focused on what the customer wants to buy and can afford to pay for. I am upgrading my rating to two stars because aside from this one salesperson everyone else performed his or her job well. I am also glad that the company is attempting corrective action to attempt to stop the sort of inappropriate behaviour that happened in my home and on the telephone. From my personal work experience, I am aware that there is a market shortage of available ideal technical salespeople so that market shortage may force a company to keep a salesperson on staff who exhibits less technical and/or sales skill than one might wish for.

    Paul Dear Sir or Madam: On August 11th, 2017 your service representative came to my home and gave me an estimate on a new high efficiency furnace and new air conditioner. At that time he also explained the Energy evaluation and duct cleaning required before they were installed. I decided to accept the proposal, the evaluation and cleaning were completed and on August 20th, 2017 the new units were installed for me by your company. I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the new furnace and air conditioner. There have been no problems of any kind since both units were installed. Your servicemen, were very efficient and professional in their work in the installation of the equipment and both are a credit to your company. Care was taken in my home with special carpets placed over floors and carpeting to minimize the possibility of them being soiled or damaged. There was no damage to any wall or entrance in the house or outside when the old equipment was removed, and brining in the new. Everything was done quickly, quietly and with care. Special thanks to Kim who helped me in so many ways with the necessary information not only concerning the installation, but the details regarding government Rebate programs, forms, and answers to my questions about other requirements, (i.e. Energy testing, Duct cleaning etc.) before and after the furnace and air conditioner were installed. It was most helpful and appreciated. I am enjoying the comfort of the new equipment and wanted to send you this letter of appreciation.     The service is exceptionally good. Knowledgeable technicians who are polite and courteous. They did a wonderful job on my furnace and air conditioner installation. They provide fast support whenever an issue arises. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience dealing with them.
