Went to Red Lobster for their lobster fest. The meal was good and our server went above and beyond to make sure that we had a good time. I enjoyed my dinner here with my family tremendously.

When you are a foreigner on a Vacation in Canada. And especially when you are from a country where seafood is freely available. It is very rare occasion you will enjoy the seafood outside. But Red Lobster changed the story. This is one of the best grill i had in my lifetime. Unique taste. Friendly ambience. Helpful staff.. You will have great time there.

Honestly have to say this place is hit or miss. I was here twice in my time in Ottawa. The first time was Great, we had great food and good service. The second time was abysmal. I asked my parents, and my brother and his family to come down from Montreal to try the restaurant with my fiance and I since the place rocked the first time, and I would be flying out to Alberta for the foreseeable future. The waitress asked us if we needed a minute to decide what we wanted after bringing drinks we said Yes, that was a mistake. We did not see her for roughly 20minutes after that. I had everyone at the table close their menus thinking that's what she was waiting on, but she still didn't show for quite some time. My brother and another member of my party did not get what they asked for. After waiting so long they decided not to change it as we wanted to eat together as a family and they just said they would "try the new dish instead". I had ordered a root beer and asked for a refill. I was told the first time I was there that the root beer was not refillable as it was a bottle but it was refillable from the fountain drinks after the first one. So I asked for a "refill of coke". The waitress said nothing and brought it. When I got the bill I was surprised to find I had over $10 in charges for one small bottle of root beer and an average size glass of coke. When I brought it up the waitress said "she lied to you last time" and asked me how I wanted to pay. To top it all off she forced 15% gratuity when she knew she did not earn it one bit. So as I said, hit or miss I will update with the waitresses name when I am settled in and can locate the receipt.

Quality going down, prices going up. My best friend and I are big fans of Red Lobster. We have been going there together for many years, and we go very frequently. Lately we have noticed it is not as good as it used to be. For example, you are always made to wait in the bar area before being seated, even when the place is half empty. I would expect to wait on a Friday night but not at 3pm on a Saturday. Seems this is just a ploy to get you to buy drinks (and pay two tips since you have to pay for that drink separately, for some mysterious reason it cannot be added to your bill when you finally get a table) Next complaint is the fact they no longer include a salad with your meal. All the prices have been increased AND they now expect you to pay extra for a salad. How bout those free cheese buns? We never know anymore if they are actually going to give us the cheese buns, there has been more than one occasion where, despite repeatedly asking, the buns simply never come while other tables are getting theirs. On our last visit by the time my friend got her side dish she was nearly done her meal. When you are paying 75 bucks for a meal, you would expect to get the rntire meal all at once and not have to remind your server that you didn't get everything you ordered. Also seems they have cut the portion sizes for the seafood sauce and garlic butter. Come on man! I say again if you are paying that much, it would be nice to not have to ration your sauce. All in all our last experience at Red Lobster has inspired us to seek out a new place to spend our money. Truly a shame because we have been long time fans for so long.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by having dinner here at this location. We decided to visit this place since Red Lobster had some new item from their menu based from their TV AD and we had the chance to download an on-line free coupon and tried it out, since it is almost 10 years since we went to this location. We were accommodated and served promptly. The food looks presentable and the portions are just enough fill an average 50 year old 165 lb. person. However, the food (Admirals Feast) was not too delectable and not that special in terms of taste. There is no distinct flavour that can be distinguished from other restaurants. In my observation, the taste of my order just came from the sauce (tartar and seafood sauce). Everything from my plate was covered with batter and deep fried. At the end of our dinner, I asked my wife about her impressions on the overall taste of her order (Seaside Shrimp Trio), she too was not too happy and there is no UNIQUENESS about the taste. Overall, the ambience, hospitality and service for this location is great, but the food (overall taste) is not DELECTABLE, ENJOYABLE and NOT UNIQUE. Some might ask me if I will go back to any Red Lobster restaurants in the future ? My final answer will be NO, same goes with BOSTON PIZZA...
