Fairly old but quite clean. Breakfast is included, including hot food! The whole hotel could use a bit of an upgrade but it is decent.

As someone who has worked there, I can honestly say this is the worst hotel to work at and/or stay at. The housekeeping manager was nothing but rude to me from day 1, but also was rude to customers or my coworkers in a snarky way when talked to. It is not a positive workplace to be at or as sanitary as you think. The hot breakfast is a mouth full of grease. For the price of the rooms that you get, you could find something much better! There’s lots of hotels near by that have better service, better food, and better management!!

Worst hospitality ever! Had our luggage stolen from the desk. The general manager for the hotel tells us he will check the video when its less busy. 4 hrs go by did not do a thing. We finally called the cops, informed him we did before he finally checked the surviellence. Breakfast was garbage. Eggs from a box still had liquid in it, sausages cold on the inside. Never again!

Great staff. Nice rooms. Had gluten-free bread in the breakfast room which was so nice to hear.

Life is short, roads are long and the way can be tiresome, so every now and then we need to take a break to rest, relax and have a little fun. The road I was traveling lead me to Red Deer for an impromptu two day stop-over while I waited for the weather to clear. At the end of Hi-way 11 eastbound I found the Ramada Hotel. I pulled up to the front door and proceeded to check in. I only came here because they had a water slide. I had no intentions of actually using the pool, I don't like the water but it was the only hotel of the five available in the area that had such an amenity and that is the kind of thing which stands out in such a competitive environment. It did not take long for the paperwork to be processed and for me to receive my key. Top floor, a king size bed and the perfect space for a makeshift office. This was everything I needed and the price was right. These are the things I expect when I check in to a hotel. What I did not expect was the exceptional service from all the staff. From the manager to the janitor, everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. The manager, Vimal Pillay even puts on a "managers social" event every Wednesday night and he personally invited me to join. Sure, it's just a small gathering but they offered free food and free drinks. It was more than I could have asked for and it certainly was more than I payed for. I expected to find a comfortable room to settle in to and get to work. I did not expect to make friends with the staff, the guests and the management. Every hotel has rooms but this one provides you with more. You will make friends here and that sets the Ramada Hotel in Red Deer well above the rest. And if that isn't good enough, then come for the free breakfast. It's not just muffins and coffee, you get a real meal with your stay. There are too many good things to comment on for a review so I'll leave you with my only complaint... The door to my room was hard to push open with my hands full. I can live with that. I don't recommend Ramada Red Deer as a place to stay, I encourage it. They don't treat you like another traveler passing through a revolving door. They treat you like a friend.
