  It was my first time here and I will definitely be returning. Great customer service and I recommend the straight razor shave.

  I wanted to get an undercut pattern shaved into my already shaved head. If you don't know what that is, it's basically a short fade on the back of your head. I usually go to a place in the west end but I was delighted to discover that there is one closer to my home. Previous to this, I've had my undercut lined up/refreshed at other barber shops around the city mostly by male barbers. I came in and showed the photo of the undercut then asked how much it would be. The barber smiles and says "I don't do that for women". I paused so he can give me a reason. I thought I misheard him or perhaps he didn't understand me and maybe thought that I asked for a women's haircut... so I clarified that I don't need a haircut or a "typical" women's hairstyle, I just want the pattern or fade shaved into my existing short, buzzed hair very much like the posters around his barbershop shop. I explained that I already have short buzzed hair and just want the line up + pattern, to which he responded: "No, I don't do that on women. Not for women. I'm not comfortable doing women's hair." (he laughed as he said that). I then said "I don't get it, is my head shape different than a man's? I have short hair" He just nodded and kept on smiling. His customer was getting a very similar cut to the one that I asked for and looked very uncomfortable and shocked. When you have a business in downtown Toronto you should be prepared to service all kinds of clients. I've never been turned away from a barber shop on the basis of my gender alone. I did NOT ask for a women's hairstyle so it isn't a matter of experience. I asked for a hair style similar to the he was doing for his client at the time. My hair is super short and buzzed on the back, so it isn't anything he hasn't seen from a man. Prince Barber Shop - You refused services to me because I am a woman - that is called sexism and gender based discrimination. Shame on you.

  Highly qualified barbers specializing in men's haircuts. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I discovered the shop last September and have become a loyal customer ever since. Would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in receiving quality cuts for a good price.
