  Shai is terrific - for both cut and colour. I have been going to Pome Studio for almost ten years, and gone through multiple styles, lengths and colours for my coarse, wavy, "difficult" (in my view at least!) hair, and love the results. Highly recommend!

  Great hair cut and style! Found someone to trim my wavy/curly locks. She also helped with my transition to natural color.

  Fantastic hairdresser who knows how to cut African American hair she gave me a new nice hairstyle and I felt really great leaving the studio and got several complements on my hair from several people. I was nervous cutting my long hair but am so glad I did! This hairdresser is very friendly and offered me affordable products and comb I can use to recreate the look at home. I will definitely be back and recommend Shay at Pome to my friends.

  I wanted to wait a couple days and washes before posting a review as I wanted to see if the cut would wash well and be easy to style at home. Shai's cut definitely exceeded my expectations! I have coarse, wavy, sometimes frizzy hair that is always poofy and unruly the first day after washing my hair. I never really knew what to do with it so I would straighten it or put it up into a ponytail. Similarly, I feel like salons in the past were at a loss with how to style my hair as every single one I've been to has had to give me a blow out to straighten and smooth my hair after a cut. Though these would look great the couple days after, as soon as I wash my hair, I would never be able to recreate it again. Shay on the other hand, cut my hair dry and taught me how to style it without using heat to bring out natural, piecey waves in my hair that look better day after day until the next wash. She also gave me the perfect layers that I can already see will grow out to look even better! This was, hands down, the best haircut I have every gotten and the only haircut where the stylist actually "listened" to my hair, instead of trying to force it to do things it cannot do. Will definitely be returning, thank you Shai :)

  Shai recently turned a horrible haircut (that I got somewhere else) into one of the best haircuts I have ever had. She is very knowledgeable and will be sure to listen to what you want and walk you through the process. Her expertise is in "no-fuss" haircuts that grow out beautifully. Pome studio is cute, intimate, and complete with fantastic products, delicious tea and great magazines.
