  Since 2010 we've been having issues with our detached garage settling. We've been in contact with Japant Brar and Raj Chahal during the last few years but they have stopped returning our emails or our phone calls. Our garage floods every winter when it thaws and freezes when the temperature drops. The slab as cracked and sunk noticeably on one side. In the beginning one of the emails from their project manager said they would monitor it as it wasn't significant but of across it is not an issue where it fixes itself. It has gotten worse and I have tried other routes of getting it fixed. Calling the city, the developer and the New Home Warranty but all say to go back to the builder. New Home Warranty rejected the claim as it is a detached structure. My review of Point Design Homes will stay at 1 star until they start to communicate with me and advise how to rectify the hazardous situation with the garage. Until then I am taking the steps needed to get service. I'll be calling the BBB and finding out what my next step is and if that means hiring a lawyer. But a simple email or phone call from Point Design Homes in regards to fixing the garage will avoid anymore bad reviews or legal action.
