We went to their sales office at Stittsville. The Sales person wasn't professional. We felt that she doesn't want to sell any homes for us. She wasn't helpful and was trying not give us more information about the models that we were interested at. I believe that If that's how they will treat me even before buying a house, Why would they do after I buy one of their houses? I immediately eliminated the option of buying a house from them.

Buyers Beware! Beyond awful after sales care. Terrible construction! On move in day, our house was beyond filthy. Hardwood floors were all scratched and pitted from trades walking on them. The paint job was horrible. Carpets were filthy. Windows are cheap and leak air after just a couple of years. We've been here for 10 years and are still fixing issues that this builder and the trades tried to hide behind the walls. We just had a flood in our family room (destroyed our hardwood floors), water rushed in from the fireplace insert and surround wall. What a mess once we pulled it out and found such shoddy work! The pipes in our laundry room freeze every year, this winter, they finally burst. Just discovered that the wall to the outside was never insulated. No wonder this house is so cold in the winter!! I could go on and on... Save your $$$ and sanity, don't buy Phoenix!!!!

I bought a house from Phoenix Homes, after possession they came back asking me for an extra 5000$. My lawyer explained that their lawyers had made a mistake drafting up the contracts and that he had missed it. At the time I was getting married, trying to start my life and had spent every penny I had on the house. I literally had nothing left. When they called me asking for the money I asked if I can make smaller payments and they refused and said they will sue me if I don't give them the money right away. I was surprised by the tone from the first call. I met with my bank to see I can remortgage the house for the right amount and they agreed! I called phoenixhomes explained everything to the financial director and requested a paper indicating the amount from him that I can present to the bank. Instead about a week later I received a notice that I was being sued! I called their finance director back several times but it would go to an answering machine. So I called Raul the son of the owner who also happened to be a old highschool friend, however seemed like he was also away no one picked up the phone I left many messages. The sales person who sold me the house said she was instructed to direct me to them. All I wanted to do was basically pay them the money. Finally one day I woke up to finding all my bank accounts are frozen at this point the bank had already loaned me the money 5k a few days before this happened. I phoned them again and the front desk lady told me that Raul had a baby and he was away and that the finance directory left to India for a month and that's why no one was returning my call. Finally I explained to Raul that I had the money and wanted to pay them back but threatened to not release my accounts and asked me to pay an extra $1500 for his lawyer fees. I begged and pleated my case and explained that I tried for a few weeks to contact them and that i have the money ready for them but he insisted to take the extra 1500 or would not let me release my accounts. I have no idea why it escalated to this. The lack of communication was a huge factor but I was not at fault for them leaving the country and having a baby and being away. To this day I have never forgiving this company! I am an honest, good person who would never take a penny that is not his. They saw i was young and bullied me stole 1500$ of my money and wasted days of my time for a mistake which they had made not me! Please do not do business with them, the house was very poor quality I had many floods on the outside the house was wavy you can still see it today. I sold it and move a 2 years later at a loss. Nothing was done right and it took a lot of effort to get them to honor the warranty items. Some of my neighbor actually got into physical altercations with the contractors we witnessed this on the street as it happened on their front lawn. They basically drove everyone mad to the point where fights where breaking out from pushing people to their limits. I highly don't recommend doing business with this company. You worked hard for your money don't buy a cheap house and through it away. go for quality instead!

I hate to go in Phoenix office in Kanata. She did not show any interest in selling homes. When we entered in office, she was sitting in chair in her cabin and did not say hi or hello to us. We went through two single homes by ourselves then i had to ask for all information and she gave me few papers saying price list and floor plans but she did not explain us anything. She behaves like she was going to pay my half of mortgage. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER SUGGEST ANYONE TO GO IN THAT OFFICE. Never believe in giving bad reviews but this time i have to.

Pheonix homes is an extremely poor company with no organization, communication or quality. Their homes are overpriced. They don't meet deadlines, and their callbacks for in-home repairs are almost always rescheduled or not completed. I strongly advise you to look at other home builders as the process that this company works is unsatisfactory. Once they get you in the home "Owner Occupied". Say goodbye to any sort of proper assistance. They signed the home off without completing proper grading, numerous health and safety violations, and they do not clean the streets or surrounding job sites from construction related debris. It's very clear that no one cares about you their job with this company. This is in regards to their homes in the Fernbank Crossing Division.
