  The thing that sets the Paul Da Costa Salon apart from other Aveda salons in Victoria, is the fact that it houses both a professional hair salon, and the Aveda Institute, where future stylists and estheticians learn their craft. The Paul Da Costa Aveda Institute is in fact, the only Institute in Canada that offers students the opportunity to study both the Cosmetology program (hair styling) and the Esthiology program (spa practice). This is an asset for customers, who can receive their services from either a seasoned professional or a supervised, skilled, student. I have found that the students provide excellent services for a reduced price. The professional stylists, needless to say, provide excellent services.

  I always get my services with Paola and she's amazing! I was hooked from day one. Service is impeccable. All this time going to other salons I didn't realize that it was the little things that make the difference. It's a bit more expensive for expert services depending on what you're getting, but I think it's worth the extra few dollars. Always get the complimentary herbal tea, it's great!

  It is all about the bangs. Bang! I had thought older women do not wear bangs too well -your facial features look a little droopier. Not so! With a little encouragement, precision cut, I now look 10 years younger! I have been told by EVERYONE at work (and at a high school, there are a lot of colleagues and students' opinions!) that my hair looks fabulous. Well, I can't take any credit, so I have to give a shout out at Melanie and Paul da Costa Salon I have frequented for 18 years now! They are the only ones who keep my hair color shiny and my cuts up-to-date. I have strayed, tried other places, when I moved to the Westshore, or one or the other Senior Stylist moved on, but you have my faithfulness! And the tea... ooh, the tea!

  Went to the professional side and showed a picture of a to the shoulder flowing wavy style that I liked and came out with a layered bob a few inches below my ears and hair gone to the lower part of the back of my neck. My hair was long and I hated that style hand grown it out for a few years and my hair was at my shoulder blades. I am very unhappy.

  Excellent stylists and estheticians. Laura always does a perfect job on my hair! And wonderful customer service from everyone in the shop.
