I've stayed here a few times now. I mean you get what you pay for. The rooms are not fantastic but they are comfortable. The reception is helpful and friendly. You cant go wrong with the location. You are walking distance to everything. The main complaint is that you are on East Hastings so you see a lot of sketchy people..drugs..homeless. you cannot go wrong for the price though. I will continue to stay.

Basic hotel. Good value for its price. Location is good, distance-wise. However, the area is a bit dingy especially at night. Better take a bus going home even if it's just a short walk from downtown.

It's a cheap budget hotel. Ended up here due to unforeseen events. They try to make it nice enough, and it seemed decently clean. The sheets smelled good. Feels very much like a hostel with a private room. Had a private bath which is nice. Just know you are getting a $50 hotel in downtown Vancouver, nothing more, and manage your expectations.

Some people are here to tell you that it's worth the money, and that you cannot expect a lot of a hotel in Vancouver that costs so little, and I am here to tell you that they are correct. This is the kind of place you take a hooker when you are borderline homeless and don't care what kind of STD you are going to get. This is because in that case you are probably not going to care about whether or not they washed the sheets, or if the toilet seat is peeling. You also probably won't care that there may be a blood stain or two on the carpet, or if there is mold in the shower. My strong recommendation is that even if you are a relatively low income young adult such as myself, you spend that extra $20-40 to get a nicer hotel. If you don't and you want to save a penny, just remember when you are in the room at night you will think of this post. P.S. the one true thing about this place is the staff is actually friendly. That, everyone got right.

If you're looking for an affordable, yet comfortable, option for a stay in Vancouver - this is a good choice. The building is a heritage building, and they've embraced it, so the lobby is filled with charming, old things. There's also a great little pub on the ground floor, with good pub grub that you can take back to your room. Warning: it's an OLD building... which means that the soundproofing is minimal. But - it's clean, with nicer furnishings than you'd expect for this price point.
