It is fairly easy to get to the train station by bus or bike, but the car traffic there and back can be tricky. I wish there was a nicer cafe with better food options and charging stations for phones.

Trains are fabulous for winter travel and families!! Love everything about it. Thus station has not changed in years, goes to show when something is built correctly, it can last a long time. Friendly people that speak both official languages. A lot of walking to get to trains, and back again. Very spacious building with extraordinary high ceilings, makes for good air. Restaurant on site. #localguide

The staff of this station were extremely kind to me when I was in a difficult situation, and I will always appreciate this. The station is easy to find, clean, and easy to navigate.

Via certainly tries hard. It gets barely any funding, mediocre ridership from people who would rather sit on the 401 to Toronto in bumper to bumper traffic or deal with parking at the airport and wait in security lines only to find out their plane is late, rescheduled or cancelled. I've enjoyed the service, large leather seats, free WiFi, the customer service and the walk on convenience so close to town. Best part? You can arrive just 15 minutes before departure and no one is going to ask you to take your shoes off before you get on.

Ottawa Station is a small but convenient and clean train station with four gates, a few minor exhibits, restrooms facilities and one little restaurant where one can essentially buy sandwiches, salads and breakfast but also a few newspapers and magazines. Staff is helpful and polite. I think that the national capital deserves a bigger and more modern railway station. An issue is the lack of space for taxis, cars and buses in front of the building which causes some serious delays.
