Have always loved 0gres lair. Great place for nerds to meet and greet. Usually through weekly mtg nights, James (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable about the boardgames he sales and all the other products. And would answer the 100s of questions I had about various products and specifics on games without issue.

My wife and I were visiting Yellowknife on our honeymoon and I was pleasantly surprised to find a board game store in the mall! The selection of games is incredible! Yes - they are stacked to the ceiling, but that's because there's such a great selection to choose from. I was honestly shocked by the number of board games that the store carried; mainly because I wasn't expecting it in Yellowknife. I was hesitant as I read the earlier review about the employee not acknowledging the customers, but this is likely because they didn't ask any questions. The "employee" is actually the store owner and he's very knowledgable and friendly if you talk to him. He knows a lot about board games and you can tell that he loves to talk about them to. Just initiate a conversation and you'll be pleasantly surprised! Whenever we visit Yellowknife, we'll be stopping in! We're not so much into tabletop games or tcg's anymore, but for those who are, there's a full games workshop and plenty of selection for magic and Pokemon cards. Thanks again for everything and if any of our friends from Ontario visit Yellowknife, we'll be sending them your way!!!!

The employee didn't even look at us, let alone say hello. We were in the store for 10 min. & he just sat behind the counter looking at a computer or something. The store was also extremely disorganized with random games just poked on top of each other to the ceiling, so you couldn't just pick up a game & read the box. I was exceedingly disappointed with the store and lack of service. I will definitely not be going back.
