Beautiful place, lots of great things to see. If you are under 35 years old, the permanent exposition is free, and even when you're older, it's not even expensive for what you get to see. I, personally, am not interested in contemporary art(I went to see it only once) besides three big paintings. Otherwise, I prefer the old paintings from europe and the sculptures. In my opinion, you cannot be displeased.

Huge with many beautiful pieces! Don't think we saw all of it. Be careful if you go on a Wednesday. We only saw that it was open until 9pm but no explanation that only the temporary exhibit was open after 5. In fact, we arrived at about 2 pm and the concierge actually suggested that we see the temporary exhibit first! There are a lot of other galleries on the way to, and in the same building as, the temporary exhibit so this took us until 5pm and then when we were ready to see other buildings we got kicked out. At least they let us come back the next day but not without convincing.

Beautiful art works ranging from medieval to contemporary. I cannot really expand on the different types of art work present in this museum and compare it to others since I haven't been to much so my knowledge may be lacking on basis. However, I can say that I enjoyed visiting this museum and being exposed to the different styles and techniques of art. Bonus: The streets leading up to the museum were really colourful and are very picturesque! (My friends and I went during the month of August) Note: Not sure if this still exist but we left our belongings behind at the counter for bags and jackets (and were given numbers associated with our belongings). We, of course, took anything valuable like cellphones and wallet with us.

I enjoyed my time at the museum. The only problem that I had was me & my friend was singled out. Being from New York I always keep my book bag in front of me. But especially that I’m in a country I don’t know, I kept it in front of me at all times ( at times I do put it on my back). We went into the free exhibit & the lady that takes your ticket asked if they told me the rules on bookbags. I said no, she said you have to keep it in front of you. I didn’t mind that. So as we’re exploring the museum there was tons of security. Which is understandable. The part where it got us was that every where we went we seen the same three guards..we turn left, someone is coming from a different direction, turn right another direction. Again the same 3 guards & this museum is pretty decent size so I expected different faces. SO we turned down to a different room & we purposely stopped, the same face security guard saw us & stopped behind us then turned back around. Then we purposely walked out & he walked behind us again. So I felt uneasy that I couldn’t even enjoy the museum because I felt everyone thought we was going to steal a big peace of art. Then as I realize, everyone that had a back pack bigger than mine wasn’t wearing it in the front... it was on there back. Now this is numerous of people. I don’t know what the deal was. By time we got to the underground passage & went to a different building. One of the guards watched us go but then didn’t see them again until we left. ( yes there was other guards but they wasn’t hounding us). Overall the museum again is pretty nice I just didn’t like that we was watched.. & that I felt more of that I had no choice but to keep my book bag in the front of me.
