  Really terrible beer list (very few local beers) considering we are in Calgary and have plenty of amazing local breweries. Ordered the New York Steak with Mashed potatoes, butternut squash and green beans. The beans and squash were good. The potatoes were inedible, dry and overcooked. The steak was below average, hardly spiced, cooked generally to spec, I couldn't bring myself to eat the potatoes or Finnish the steak. To the restaurants credit they comped the meal, but I am really disappointed with the menu overall and the lack of choice on the beer menu.

  Love Murrieta's - the atmosphere and service are so top notch. Just such a cool space. Great for lunch/dinner but had an excellent brunch here too. Orange yokes, strong coffee, and grapefruit mimosas are the key to my heart. Very reliable: I've never had a bad meal or experience here. The location in Canmore is also excellent!

  Terrible food. Rude service. I ordered the scallop pasta and it had no sauce and precisely 4 tiny (bay size) scallops. For $22. On top of that, I ordered a Diet Coke and the waiter tried to make it a rum and coke. Then when I suggested there was a mistake he came back and slammed my Diet Coke on the table. Mostly I was embarrassed because my partner had organized this night weeks in advance and made reservations 2 weeks ahead. It was the first time the whole family had been together in years and Murrieta’s screwed it up. Definitely not worth it.

  We got married here August 2017. Planning the event with Patrick and Daisy was so easy and relaxing. They were flexible and patient and so accommodating. The service during the wedding reception was exceptional. It was the reason we chose Murrieta's to begin with. We knew our guests would have an amazing experience and Patrick's team did not disappoint. Our guests still rave about the food and beautiful room.
