::Outdoor equipment galore. Some things are very expensive, but that is to be expected with "specialty" equipment. Staff is typically pretty knowledgeable. The vast majority of the products they carry are on the floor and able to be tested/test fit, etc. I'm heading there with my camera to find a Pelican Case in a few hours, as an example.

::How can you not like MEC! It's the best store to shop at in the Winnipeg area. The staff are great and knowledgeable about pretty well every they sell and if the person your dealing with doesn't know then they will find someone who does know. You also have to check out the courses they offer every month. You will be surprised at how helpful they can be from bike maintenance to using digital GPS navigation devices.

::I like this store. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have high quality outdoor camping, hiking, running, winter and cycling equipment and clothing. They also have a nice selection of casual clothing. The washrooms have composting toilets and are clean. Their return policy is also very good.

::They have a fabulous selection of gear for pretty much every kind of outdoor activity. Sometimes the store seems a little understaffed, but the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. They really stand by their products and have fantastic repair service. As for people complaining about the memberships - it's a $5 lifetime membership - because they're a co-op. Similar kind of rules to a credit union.

::Excellent business! I returned my merino wool long sleeve that had runs/holes all down both arms and they gave me store credit for what I paid for them and was able to replace them the same day! Amazing products, great selection. My go-to store for purchasing clothing/adventuring gear!
