Was purchasing breakfast at the location on Stephan Ave and asked if I could use the washroom to wash my hands before I ate, I was told by the swing manager that if they have seating for under 20 people they don't have open it, not impressed. As well the manager really needs a lesson on her people skills, I didn't think McDonald's could stoop any lower. I will find a new location to visit, the one on 8 street and 7 Ave are always so nice and accommodating, should have stopped at that one.

At this restaurant if you come during rush hour you are going to receive slow service. I'd say between 2-6pm I would avoid as there is tons of people in this tiny little McDonald's outlet. They also seemed like they were understaffed, had the manager working the fry station, one employee handing out orders, 2 at the registers and only one poor person making food in the back of the restaurant. Compared to the crowfoot location during rush hour (which has decently fast service during peak times) this location sucks. Also there's tons of homeless people/druggies loitering around the restaurant which makes it super uncomfortable to sit in the restaurant, with the smell of cigarettes lingering around as you eat your big mac. I will probably only stop here if I really need to, get in then get out.

I'm sorry I have to rate this only two stars. The staff are generally great and orders are up to McDonald's standards. Sadly most of the non-paying clientele and riff-raff give this a major downgrade. Felt sorry for the family that brought their kid in for lunch. Don't even think about using the restrooms. Who knows what you may contract or walk in on. Disgusting. Again, I really feel sorry for the staff here. They should get way more support to deal with what they have to.

This shop has a serious problem, and never try to fix it. The kiosk does not print a receipt due to out of paper. Because of that, we had to pay twice. The first time, we paid the money by credit card, we expected the receipt come out, but nothing happened. So we thought the payment would fail, then ordered and paid once more. But at second time we confirmed the kiosk had printing problem and got only order number. My husband asked about it to one of the staffs; the one told simply "yes, we know." That was why we got two sets of a combo for two (it costed us more than 30 dollars, and 2nd set of a combo for two is on our table now)! Even after we asked about the receipt, nobody cared. And I watched other couple had the same problem as we had. But fortunately, I remembered their order number and let them know not to pay twice (got a lot of "thank you"). I have visited a lot of McDonald and used their kiosk including in Korea, Japan, Thai, and the USA, but this shop is the only place that has kiosk does not print a receipt. And we were not only case who has the problem for less than 30 minutes. Moreover, how can staffs manage if someone who actually does not order, insist and get food instead while the original person who orders and pays does not realize(staffs give the food without checking a receipt)? The experiences of McDonald have always been sucks in downtown of Calgary. I will never try McDonald in here.

This has to be the scariest McDonald's I’ve ever been to. There are more homeless people here than in a homeless shelter. There are homeless people sleeping on the tables, smoking in and outside the building, standing all over the building, intimidating customers. The menu screen hanging above the counter is broken as well; looks like someone threw a bowling ball at it. This McDonald's has earned the nickname “The Lair” as it seems to be where all of Calgary’s homeless lurk at all hours of the day/night. Luckily my friends and I left before anything happened to us unlike other reviewers here. I never thought I would actually take the time to write a review on Google, let alone for a McDonald's but this place disgusted me so thoroughly that I just had to leave a review. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this place.
