  The most RUDEST and RACIST instructors/staffs among all the college/universities in Calgary, perhaps in Canada. I planned everything starting from moving to an apartment nearby to taking loans to enroll in their course, thankfully I stopped right there. One of my closest friends is currently enrolled in a course and the experience she's been having is unbelievable. She is a very positive and kind girl but she is devastated. They misbehave with all the non-white students. They don't bother being friendly to the white students while being extremely rude to the non-whites. Their are unable to control the hatred they feel for minorities in their facial expression. They placed their receptionist to take a course who does not even have basic knowledge of what she teaches, and what more? She is a complete racist too. Also, got to know that all the instructors are pretty close to each other, so there is no point of making complaints. Dear future students, please do your research before even thinking of enrolling in this racist institution. Trudeau, we know you care. Where are you?

  If you asked me how being a student at MC College is, I’d say, you’re better off finding another school. In my time being here, I’ve felt small, depressed, and not welcomed. There are many issues I’ve seen, witnessed, and been part of. Such as needing the instructors but they are preoccupied with their phones, or needing them and they are not in the spa which affects our timing with the clients - which then affects our grades. Also, the way the instructors talk to some of the students. At MC College, apparently we are to treat others the way we want to be treated and respect should go both ways, but that is not the case here; the instructor has a habit of belittling students who are trying to learn or have made a mistake, it’s ugly and hurtful. I think there are other ways to address an issue than belittling and talking down to others. Other times, you’ll hear instructors will snicker, whisper, and gossip in front of the students. Another issue, if you were to ask the students that are not part of a minority, students who do not face adversities based on their skin colour, they’d say they had no issues with the instructors or have never been talked down to or have not been frequently asked to do more of the spa duties but ask anyone else out of that group, and we’d be able to say a whole books worth. With my time being here, I’ve tried to be excited and happy for myself, for choosing a career path but this school has made it so difficult for me.

  I always have a great experience with the stylists at MC College! I used to use Marca College in Saskatoon, and I still find that the college has the best prices for hair cuts and colours. The staff and stylists are so friendly, and I love coming back to get pampered.

  No complaints about my experience at MC College. I went in for just a trim as my hair was getting too long. The student paid close attention to how much I wanted to take off and didn't go any shorter. Also suggested some layers and face framing, which I think look nice, especially the face framing. While the students did have to check in with the instructors frequently, it didn't add that much time to the appointment. Overall, I had a good experience, granted I was going in for something I'm assuming is quite simple, so maybe not too much room for error. But $15 for 1.5hrs of their time and for shampoo/cut/blowdry, can't complain! Took off one star because of the delay in the email correspondence when trying to book an appointment. Customer service in the salon was adequate, and they were able to accommodate me despite being late for my appointment.

  After being disappointed to only finding out your pricing has changed so I couldn't get my style after my hair cut, the student took a very long time..more then 2 hours for just a cut with bangs. I had a picture with which I wanted. Short with layers and textured bangs. I left with my hair super flat and I wasn't listened to at all. They made me put product in my own hair also. The overall haircut doesn't look good at all. My son and daughter who also got a haircut...the way they attempted to cut my son's hair looks very choppy and uneven and not at all how we wanted it (military), my daughter who wanted layers and face framing said it looks choppy and like the bottom layers look 'fake'. We were all excited to have our hair done but left feeling very disappointed.
