The steaks are delicious but our only experience there will be our last. My wife has some allergies and we made the server aware of that and asked that her steak be brought out plain with no seasoning which she said no problem. My wife started cooking it and eating pieces and about half way through the steak she started to not feel well. She looked at the bottom of the steak on the stone and sure enough there was seasoning. Mentioned it to the server who didn't really seem to care or look sorry that this had happened. Returned home so my wife could take her pills but the rest of the night was ruined as she didn't feel well. Wrote an email to the restaurant and got a call from the owner who was very apologetic and said he'd like us to come back. He was going to investigate and call me back in a few days. I thought ok these things sometimes happen and he is trying to make sure they don't happen again....my concern was more if this happened to a small child or someone with a more severe allergy. IT'S BEEN A MONTH and the OWNER of the restaurant has not called back. Food may be great but if that is how much they care about the customers well being I will never go there again.

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, YES! Here's my story. My wife and I went to Lot 88 in December. Now, I've bee to my share of steak houses, and I cook a lot of steak myself in the summertime on the grill, so I know my stuff. While pouring over the menu, I saw right away my litmus test to determine how good of a restaurant I'm at: their signature burger. So, I ordered that and a pint of Barking Squirrel (bonus points for having it on tap right there!). My wife ended up getting talked into a steak with a hot stone. When our food arrived, I had an awesome looking burger, and she had a steak, seared, and a very hot stone all on a platter. She cut a piece of her steak, and placed it on the hot stone, and her eyes went wide. It was AMAZING she said. I had a bit of my burger, and it was definitely a quality piece of food. When I tried a bit of my wife's steak however...I instantly regretted not ordering it myself. That was literally the best steak I've ever had a bit of in my entire life. There is literally nothing better. I would give this place six stars if I could.

Arrived at 1145 for a lunch today and ordered a burger and fries at 1155. By 1227 it still had not arrived. During the holiday season one would think the kitchen would be set to handle company lunches and be quicker to cook staples like burgers, especially if you ask your server for a separate bill because you may need to leave before anyone else. I asked the waitress to cancel the order as I would not have time to eat it now. She departed to the kitchen. I went to the bathroom and came back to my food being on the table, it was 1235 (40 minutes for a burger and fries) so our server asked if I wanted it boxed up, I was getting upset (not at the server but at the situation) and didn’t want to make a scene so I paid for it to be boxed up and I left. I would not call it fair prices as a 26 dollar bill before tip for a burger fries gravy and fountain pop seems a bit on the high side. The burger tasted fair but it did not appear to be a preformed patty, if it was house made the mince was too finely grated and/or worked too much which made the burger too dense and almost rubbery, I also had grizzle and a bone chip in mine. Now to be fair I did eat the burger out of a too go container due to the slow service so that may account for some of my disappointment. However I will not be returning to this restaurant primarily due to the slow service especially for the prices.
