I had a private room in the basement with my own bathroom and it was perfect for what I needed! Clean and quiet most importantly. Also friendly staff and free breakfast available! Nice to see a wide age range of other guests staying as well.

If you are traveling on a budget, Le Gite Du Plateau Mont-Royal is the place for you. Very friendly and welcoming staff, spacious and well maintained rooms, and a perfect location right in the heart of Montreal. Less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station. Complimentary breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. Would stay there again.

Okej. Good and bad things. Not very well located. Rooms too warm and you can guess it after a couple of days of not opening the window it becomes smelly. The worst is the shower. It's tiny, provides only a couple of hooks to hang your stuff. It needs some urgent upgrades (at least fresh paint) and does not provide soap and shampoo to people who may have forgotten. The people at the front office are however helpful and you can leave your luggage on your last day and pick it up later. The breakfast in the morning is pleasant.

We stayed in a private double twin room and the entrance was in a separate door from the main shared space. Service was very friendly and helpful. Rate for the night was very affordable. Breakfast was limited but a nice inclusion. The place was clean, and the common space seemed like a cool spot to hang out. There was no shampoo or soap for the shower in our room so I'd recommend bringing that along with you. As well, the included blankets were a bit thin so you may want to bring an extra blanket or sweater on colder nights.

Amazing location! Close to the metro and many other cool places like the Montreal's ugly Christmas tree and the infamous Schwartz Deli. I was amazed the second I walked in, it felt very cozy. Rooms were very clean and there was even a terrace which had great view of the city! I highly recommend this place as it is affordable and the staff is super nice! Bonus, they plan activities depending on the time of year free of charge!
