  The prices are fair and the work is very good. This is true of many good bike shops. What sets La Carrera apart is the people. Nadir and his staff are, in my experience, trustworthy, knowledgable, and more than happy to answer any question without a hint of judgement or condescension. If you have a nice bike, and you want to treat it right, take it here.

  I was initially skeptical when Nadir tried to sell me a tire for $50 (my fault for not explaining that I had a low budget) but when I returned a few days later with a flat tire, he took one look at my bike and insisted on replacing my busted handlebars for no extra charge, because he was worried about my imminent peril. That's the best kind of bike shop, someone who actually cares about his customers out on the road. He replaced the broken stem in my handlebars so I wouldn't die, and he snapped me out of my negligence to bike care. Nadir can handle professional bike jobs and the common commuter with no problem. Friendly guy as well. Bring cash.
