  I've lived in Coquitlam for ~10 years and I've been fortunate enough to have the Kal Tire store located near my place. I've been to this store 5 or 6 times I believe, all for either minor tire repairs or a winter rubber change (most recently was a slow leak on the bead, but before that was 2 small repairs after running over a nail/screw) and I can't commend Gord and his team enough. This past visit (Monday), I had an 8:00a appointment and Gord got me in right on time and said the repair should take 15-20mins, Right at 20mins later, the repair was done and I was on my way, with a final charge of $0. Of the 3 cars I've purchased in the past, they all had newer tires on them so I haven't had the need to replace all the tires yet, but I'll be going to Gord at Kal Tire when I'm in need coming up soon as they've taken care of me and my family over the years. When I say I recommend Kal Tire to anyone who asks, that is an understatement. There isn't another trusted and better choice in Coquitlam. Bravo to Gord and his team. Please make sure to pass this along to the store and Gord's superior as everyone needs to know that yes, you are one of the good ones out there.

  Although I was left on hold for 15 minutes on my first call, the service after that was outstanding. They were able to get us in on a Saturday for a wheel alignment. We received a text message reminding us of the appointment time and another one when our vehicle was ready for pick up. They were quick to get the work done and stayed on schedule. Totally impressed!!

  This Kal Tire Location is hit and miss with consistent service; they sometimes will give you an all-over inspection and tell you what work needs to be done, sometimes they won’t even tell you to come back to re-torque your wheel nuts at 50km. One thing they are consistent about is using the entire quoted time to get the work done; predictable, but annoying as they never complete the work ahead of time. One other annoyance/inconvenience is the lack of parking on/around the location. This fact had been recently compounded by the construction of a new apartment/condo complex across the street. Finally, on my last visit (April 06, 2018), they loaded WET tires into the back seat of my car without telling me they had done so!! Despite the fact that they were in Kal Tire’s own branded ‘tire totes/covers’, there was mud and water transfer to the fabric upholstery. I only noticed this many hours later when I went to unload the tires. Overall I am happy with Kal Tire, but this last visit was definitely sub-standard. **** UPDATE **** I just received a phone call from Gord, the manager of this Kal Tire. We discussed my review and experience. He explained the circumstances surrounding my appointment and expressed regret for my less than perfect experience. I would have been satisfied with this phone call, in which he took ownership of the situation and raised the bar in Customer Service to a top-notch level, but additionally I was offered compensation for my inconveniences (the details of which I will keep confidential) which far exceeded any of my expectations! I have been a loyal Kal Tire client for 17+ years thanks to Gord's follow up phone call I will continue to be for many years to come. Thank you.

  I called around 8:30am to see if i could get my winter tires installed later in the day. They had a few afternoon options. I took the 2pm slot. I brought the car in just after 2 and was out of of there about 30 minutes later. Good customer service and I enjoyed some free popcorn and a complimentary province. They now have a reserved drive thru spot for a quick post 50 km torque. I’m a happy customer

  Most pleasant experience at this location! First time purchasing winter tires and employees were extremely courteous and honest (did a once over of my car and didn’t try to sell me other services, alignment, etc., as has been my experience in the past being a woman by herself). I had an appointment - everything was done very smoothly and as promised - effortless. Appreciate it - thanks!
