Dropped my broken laptop off that I purchased from Keytech for $200 ( sold to me "as new with warranty" and it completely broke 5 days later! Right off the bat the battery was malfunctioning! I brought it in for repair- was told i'd receive a call- almost 2 months later- no phone call- nothing! key Tech took advantage of my lack of computer knowledge! AVOID!!!

Updated...Further proof of the owner's/Wally's character he had my previous post removed due to his unwillingness to raise his standard but the truth can't be hidden online....its permanent! Lesson 1 - Avoid purchasing anything from Wally at Keytech Wireless/Computers/JF Emporium he not only has a gift for talking/distracting but he will lie to you to get a sale, that much is clear. Lesson 2 - If you are compelled to buy something from him confirm the specs online and make sure it matches the details under ā€œDevice Managerā€ in Settingsā€¦.DO NOT TRUST WHAT HE SAYS OR SHOWS YOU!!! Lesson 3 - If itā€™s important or a promise GET IT in Writing and get a receipt. Lesson 4 - I made the mistake of trusting him b/c of the neighborhood, he made it clear his choice wasnā€™t by accident (Not Diverse) So I needed a laptop on the cheap that was of decent quality for work. Seeing a couple ads on Kijiji I called the ad, almost immediately I was told that the price I saw on the ad was incorrect, and I don't mean a typo. Wally (Owner of Keytech Computers Inc.) was ā€œattemptingā€ to convince me that I wasnā€™t seeing what I was saying. What he failed to realize is that I had screenshotted the image. Miraculously 5 mins later (after he logged in his account) the price had been updated to show his price. Now ppl make mistakes that's not what upset/offended me it was the full on effort/lie to cover one's error without any remorse. Since I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt I proceeded to go to the store to make further inquiries. Visit #1: Asked Wally about my preselected computers, (At first I thought he was looking at his inventory but he was actually looking at the specs online after googling the product) This led me to ask why heā€™s not familiar with his products he said he gets them wholesale so he doesnā€™t look until a customer is interested, (which was weird b/c each laptop had a recent inspection sticker). I waited in the store while he updated software on my the purchased comp and left 90 mins later. Visit #2: Prior to this I sent several emails in regards to missing hardware (video card) and that windows was deactivated. He looked at my comp only to say it was too late to open it and confirm that the hardware was there as such I had to return. Visit #3: He began by reactivating windows and looking thru my computer. This is when I began to get deeply upset , I couldn't figure out for the life of me what he could be looking for that he had not found in the previous 3hrs heā€™d looked at my computer - my guess was he wanted to avoid any costs. Obviously I confronted him about the continuous lies the fruitless numerous bus trips for which he appeared to have no empathy for my efforts. After a lot of the above he confirmed heā€™d pick up my laptop this past Sunday Morning and drop it of Tue or Wed night. I was reluctant based on his history but agreed to it. Sunday Morning comes and goes and I receive a text @ 445p saying heā€™s on his way, I replied and told him I waited all sunday morning for him on a long weekend and weā€™d have to reschedule for a Tue/Wed pickup with a confirmation on Monday. Monday came and went and so did Tuesday with no call or text. Finally I got a text Wed 12:48p saying word-for-word ā€œBro thereā€™s are many things for me to deal please feel free to drop off the laptop to be fixā€.......I LOSSSSSSTTT ITTT at this moment,ā€¦ havenā€™t heard from his since.

An awesome shop where I couldn't stop pointing out cool finds any time I've been there. The staff is friendly and helpful when needed, but also give you room to shop which I adore. I've been very impressed with the prices. Only downside is that the further in you get it gets rather disorganized, and some items aren't priced. With such a vast and great selection though, I can see how difficult it must be to stay on top of.
