  Sketchy part of town. Questionable people that attend - a lot of stalker type older men. Staff was incredibly friendly but the crowd put me a little on edge

  The layout is well thought out and the music is always lit. Bathroom lines tend to get very long though.

  While Fortune is the ideal Vancouver venue for hip hip shows, any other type of concert or performance tends to suffer a bit. The layout can make shows feel very intimate if the performer is using the mic on the edge of the stage, or it can feel closed off if they're a DJ with the table further back. The drink menu involves $9 PBR cans and doubles that will require breaking a 50, while coat check runs another $4 and requires separately checking an umbrella. If I don't love an umbrella, I just end up chucking it in the corner when I go to Fortune.

  Good place to go out with the boys on a Friday night. Very popping music.

  Needs more bathrooms, fun place to go but be prepared to spend half your night in the washroom line.
