  Excellent quality and outstanding service! I went here with an urgent order. Not only did she do the engraving within a couple of hours, she went out of her way to make the engraving more beautiful and detailed than I had expected. She saved my day and made this year's Valentine's Day extra memorable. Thank you so much!!

  Great experience, professional grade work! She engraved a gold locket for me. She helped me figure out a design, made suggestions etc. I love the locket that much more now and can’t wait to gift it to my niece. Reasonable price!

  ** Long review. For good reason ** I have waited more than a few months to write this review, as I didn't want to be hot-headed while doing so. To be clear, this review is to caution others who would like to avoid an experience like mine. I'd initially gone to The Engraving Place based on the positive reviews listed on Google. When I first visited, the owner/manager (?) of the shop, Mary, dealt with taking my engraving order and she was wonderful and easy to deal with. I was bringing in my engagement ring (a silver, hand engraved band with an intaglio stone signet) for a custom hand engraving and had typeset the words in detail, which had cost extra but would have been well worth it. Then, picking up my ring and checking out the engraving - which was nice...I thought nothing of it. It wasn't until I WAS PROPOSING TO MY FIANCE, literally during the proposal, that we noticed the stone on the face of the ring had been completely replaced with a new one. It is still undetermined if they had replaced the entire ring in the process. This was done without any consultation, notice, or apology. They had simply hoped that we wouldn't be the wiser. IMMEDIATELY after proposing, I wrote to them asking what had happened and if they had replaced the stone without asking me. It was only then that they admitted to what happened. After much back and forth, they agreed to give me a refund, but only after I showed up at the shop demanding for one. Initially, they proposed to find me another ring and substitute it for the one that they damaged. Once more, I spoke to Mary, and not to the person who had supposedly broken and replaced the stone on the ring. If you have an item as personal and hard to find as a sentimental heritage or bespoke piece, I would not trust this establishment to handle your piece with care. Proceed with extreme caution.

  amazing service. local & independently owned. hard to find this kind of service and quality anymore. have used these guys for engraving many times for VIP and corporate gifts. i highly recommend them. their attention to detail and thoughtfulness is better than anyone else out there.
