I searched google for a 24 hour hospital. This is not one. This is a geriatric facility for residents only, as the information desk informed me.

HEY PROFESSIONALS ! Next time you send a memory confirmation exam in the mail, MAYBE ASSUME people who have mild dementia MIGHT have paranoia issues, and see an enveloped with endless medical references and care facilities all over it as MAYBE threatening? And hopefully you don't need a medical degree to interpret sarcasm.

A caring and friendly staff. This place was a God send when I came time to transition my mother to hospice.

Can I give their phone operator a no star?! When I called their number a male operator could not tell me what are the working hours of one of the specialists. He had not a clue and with his arrogant voice said that he is guessing that doctor is not working nights. What an incompetent person!!! Why would he have a sheet of paper in front of him with all doctors hours?! That does not make sense, does it?! It took him almost a minute to even answer the phone. Sloppy, ignorant, useless! I have tried to call that doctor directly, but typically, no response. They ignore the phone constantly. All you get is like and old smoked-though which's voice telling you with French accent to not leave any message as it won't be answered. Useless and sloppy Canadian attitude.

Don't you just love it when over 90% of the medical facilities are broken, including the nurse call button for emergency situations, and the place is so ridiculously understaffed that no one ever has any time to come to you even when your loved one is having trouble breathing and is about to faint? Ottawa hospitals are absolute trash and this place takes the cake of it all. Hire more damn nurses--and just a suggestion but maybe people who can actually speak clear English would be helpful--and train them better. The 'someone needs help' bell is ringing 24/7 here. This place is the one that needs help.
