  Really bad experience of purchasing a new house from this company. Non professional realtor and cunning builder. All I want to say to this company is "if this is your business culture to treat cust like this, then good luck on your business" hehe

  This company is as shady as it gets. We worked with Sylvia A. and I have to say she made our experience of buying and building a new to be the worst experience. She had an attitude towards us that was child like. I can not and will not recommend this company. please look at others builders to get a more positive

  Discovery built our home in 2016 and we couldn't have picked a better builder. If you guys are looking for a true custom home that is built with quality, then Discovery is the builder for you. They will design and build you your dream home. Other builders (the cookie cutter ones especially) will charge you an arm and a leg to change their designs to your liking. Discovery will do that without any additional charges. Also, you will notice that there is a lot of extras included in their base prices that are not usually include with the other builders like steel beam construction (my basement in a 2200 sqf house doesn't having any vertical posts), higher then normal ceiling heights and many more. Also, don't expect them to do a rushed job. The other guys will build you a house in a few months, these guys will build it over a longer period of time but they will really put the quality and the workmanship into your home. When the time comes to pick your flooring, exterior and interior colours, cabinetry, etc, Discovery will send you to different vendors one area at a time so you don't get overwhelmed. You don't just do everything all in one day and in one place like the other guys. As well, once the foundation is poured and the walls and roof is up, Discovery will give you a set of keys so you can even check on your house after hours to make sure that everything is up to your liking. How awesome is that? Other builders will not do this. If you have a concern, just give them a call and they will address it even after the house is built. They are truly a great builder and if you decide to go with them, you will not have any regrets. Thank you Discovery homes for building our dream home.

  I have recently (2012/2013) finished building with Discovery Homes and in my opinion they have a long way to go in becoming a quality builder. I have had nothing but problems with this builder right from the beginning and throughout the process. The issues began when the home was built with 9' ceiling as opposed to the 10' ceilings that were ordered. There were walls missing in the house (luckily I caught in time), the HVAC is underpowered (due to an unproven floor plan), the final grade of the lot was horrendous and I'm having to pay to have it graded again. Service is terrible. I've on numerous occasions asked Discovery to come and look at my roof, that there has been something on it flapping in the wind since the roof was shingled and they just don't show up? Not at all a good experience.

  Building a house is never easy. You will always find something in the house to complain about. This, however, is always resolved when you are dealing with a professional builder like Discovery Homes. The day ends well when people like Gord, Kerri, Trent and a few others respond positively to the home owner's concern. Keep up the good work Discovery Homes. -Jose and Leticia
