  Ordered veal stew and was delicious. Huge portion with Hungarian dumpling which looks like thick pasta,followed by crepe with cheese. They accept only cash. The price on the menu includes tax. Price is 19-20 CAD. Would be nice if they start accepting cards. Also limited choice. I lowered to 3 stars from 4 because I went with a friend for goulash soup on May 6th. The quality was mediocre. Very watery rather than stock and smelled raw meat, although it was cooked. The smell stayed with me for a while. It is the same smell when you slow cook a beef overnight. I dont think i will go again. Also the bread they served was not fresh.

  First time having Hungarian (reminds me of Polish food?). Loved it. Food: We ordered the platter for 2 (but really serves 3). Roughly $40. You got to taste a bit of everything. Pork and chicken schnitzels. The tastiest cabbage roll ever. Sausage. Beets. Crispy but lukewarm home fries. So good! Interior: adequate seating of various group sizes. Service: quick and friendly. Definitely coming back with back-up. :) **cash only but there id an atm on site**

  Neighborhood stalwart, this place is best known for its schnitzels. Prices for dinner are relatively high ($20+) but the portions are extremely generous. Interior could be described as folksy with lots of wood and red/white tablecloths. Clientele is on the older side (typically 40s+). Has been around for decades without any detectable drop in quality. Highly recommended!

  The huge platters are fun but next time I'm going to order the Paresian vs the regular schnitzel (way good) and try to have more room for dessert. Delicious beets, among the best I have had. Nice staff too. Try the golden pear liquor ! Like alcoholic cough syrup ;)

  A local gem in the every gentrifying Annex neighbourhood. The place is a must-go. If you have a larger party (4+ persons), I would suggest the Country Style Wooden Plate, which is a variety platter of great eastern European cuisine. Be prepared to bring cash with you. They do not accept debit nor credit.
