  I brought my wife to COMMON for her birthday dinner and it was excellent. We went on Saturday during Easter weekend and had reservations for 7:30 and we arrived to a nearly empty restaurant. By 9 pm the place was packed. The looks, smells, and tastes of their extensive cocktail menu are inspiring. We ordered the pistachio humus and the lobster roll to share and both we amazing. Possibly the best meal we've had in Ottawa.

  Dang....brunch was really good. Tried the Mediterranean breakfast....great favors and attention to detail, the Huevero breakfast also good. Caesar and cherry mimosa nice! Service was good, but there was the odd wait staff that was aloof.

  We had the best experience at Common Eatery because of our server Roy! He was absolutely amazing!!! He recommended the lobster rolls and they were finger licking good! The food and drinks are always great. I'm writing this review as I sip on my delicious cocktail, the Uncommon Mojito!

  Food is very good, I have dreams about the mushroom gnocchi. Be prepared to spend money.. although it’s worth it. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A RESERVATION. Establishment is quite small and cozy and more than likely you won’t be able to just walk in on a whim. Great ambiance and nice drink selection although a little pricy. Overall would recommend for a classy date night / small get together if you want something a little different.

  Came here because of recommendation, the place has a beautiful modern decor, the space is well utilized. It gets very busy around 8pm and up, so arrive early or reserve a table. Their specialty is cocktails which are indeed very interesting - I liked the one with bacon and egg whites. They don't have any beers on tap, only cans. We ordered a steak with fries which was very average. I had their "burger pour moi" which is just a burger with melted cheese and fries. The beef patty was oversalted to the max, so I didn't even enjoy it. The service was good, no complaints. Would not order food here anymore. Good for cocktails.
