  We did our very first renovation a few years ago and I was constantly told as I was going through the process of choosing a general contractor that there will always be significant delays in the timelines proposed and the budget would always over exceed. I was pleasantly surprised when Martin and Co not only completed the renovation in a timely fashion, as well as within budget. Throughout the process, Martin was very helpful with his experienced advice on not only the technical aspects of the renovation, but also the aesthetic aspects. Even today, as I hear my friends talk about their renovation nightmares, I am amazed at how stressless mine was.

  Channel Custom Builders just completed a full renovation of our en-suite bathroom and a partial, but still significant, renovation of our main bathroom. After 25 years new life as well as a beautiful new look now exists in both. We could not be more pleased with the end result of the professional work carried out in both rooms. The project was extremely well managed by Channel Custom Builders (owned and managed by Martin Kathrens) from start to finish and the construction schedule was adhered to without any delays. The degree of detailed inspection during the entire duration of each and every stage of construction was extremely thorough, thus ensuring a high quality of workmanship by all trades involved. As the home owners, my wife and I were always kept informed of what was happening with respect to construction plans and the few minor resolvable issues that arose. All parties involved were always receptive to any questions or concerns that came about and the lines of communication were always open. Along with extending our sincere thanks and appreciation to Martin Kathrens we would also like to congratulate and extend the same thanks and appreciation to Spencer Kathrens for his excellent project management handling of our renovation. To both we say “A job extremely well done”. It is without hesitation that we look forward to having Channel Custom Builders handle any other major home renovation projects we may incur in the future and would highly recommend them to others looking to renovate.   We have just recently finished a guest bathroom renovation with Spencer and Channel Custom Builders and not only did he make our dream bathroom become a reality, but it was also completed within the exact timeline we were provided with and on budget! This is all any home owner could ask for when hiring a contractor. This is not our first renovation with Channel Custom Builders either! We knew exactly what type of high quality, timely and positive experience we would have with Spencer because we had employed his father, Martin, to be our contractor for our entire main floor and other areas of our home renovation. You name it, walls were demolished, beams put in, all new hardwood floors, a complete new kitchen, electrical, tiling and after all was said and done we could not have been more happy! Every time someone walks into our completely renovated home, their expression is always "WOW" and that is due to the professionalism and determination that Channel Custom Builders showed us in helping us achieve our dream home!   We had our master bedroom completely remodelled by Channel. They were recommended to us by satisfied friends and we were completely satisfied as well. We found Channel very thorough and importantly, respectful of our space. The trades were on time, reliable and we felt comfortable with them in our house. Channel always did what they said they were going to do. They arrived daily and managed all their trades well. Clean up was never an issue. We were kept informed and given a timetable of what was happening when. Any questions were answered in a timely and thorough manner. We are thrilled with the results.   I have known Channel Custom Builders, and more importantly Martin Kathrens, for over 10 years. During that time Martin has presented himself as a master contractor. He has the experience and knowledge to ensure the overall success of any project. His relationships with his clients though is what sets him apart.
