The older (I suppose permanent) staff are really not motivated, friendly or helpful. It was a real put off to get such terrible service. For example, I went in to cut some keys and the middle aged Caucasian lady with glasses at the service counter (operator 429 on my receipt, her name was Pamela) was so rude and would not properly explain how to choose a key number. Asked a middle aged man where to find something and he told me the wrong location. He really had a bad attitude like he didn't care. The only bright spot was the young staff ( I suppose summer students) were very helpful in the sports desk. To the owners I say, do some undercover shopping to get an idea of what is going on in your store.

I found the employees here very kind and helpful. I had 4 different young people helping me, they were all happy and courteous. They had a great sense of humor, because my sugar leaked all over the store. They reassures me it was more bother at all to clean up. Thanks for the nice service!πŸ™‚

Canadian Tire at Kerr Street and the QEW. I cannot say enough about the service and The customer care . I wish I had remembered the lady who was managing the service desk. Efficient, warm and customer focused. I will be returning for sure.

Saturday and store was empty. Now I know why. You think you might be able to find a part here? Guess again.Canadian Tire was once the goto place to find car parts from staff who knew something about cars. It has become a place trying to be everything to everyone and is not doing even that very well. This store falls particularly far from reasonable in terms of service. Sad for one of the last Canadian retailers.

Canadian Tire lost a life long customer today. I won't be shopping here again after the sub-par customer service experience I received from "store manager" Paul. Price signs (multiple) on sifto salt pallet read 3.99 for 10kg bag. Product scanned in at 11.99. Paul blamed the mix up on customers moving the signs, then told me he needed to go check the pallets himself. Left me standing waiting at the cash register for a FULL 20 minutes. Cashier had to page him 3x before he responded. Told her to tell me the price on the shelf was wrong and the product was 11.99. Couldn't even return to the cash desk to tell me himself! For the record, it's against the scanning code of practice (consumer law) to label a product one price and then sell it for 4x as much at the register. Not a single sign near any of the pallets was for 11.99. What kind of second rate store are they running here? Won't ever be going back.
