  Satisfied with retail part of the store. I went to the service department for a tire changeover and to remove some fluid from the brake system (the brake reservoir was overfilled, even when the car was cold). My brakes were overly touchy/sensitive. They were competent with the tire changeover. With the brake system they said there weren't going to do anything because the pads/rotors and other parts were working fine. That wasn't my issue. My problem was with how overly-sensitive my car's brakes were. I was charged for a tire changeover (fine) and for a brake check (not cool), when they did not address my initial complaint.

  The Mechanic was fantastic.. But when I asked for the total price of fixing my wheel bearing and change my 2 front tires I was told around $400.. So then I gave the ok to get the work done.. But when I went to pay they charged me $715... When I told them that I specifically asked you for the total of everything before hand you said around $ 400... He then said ya I didn't tell you the full price! Really?? !!!? Wow!!

  Very good selection of sports equipment especially hockey, kayaks, camping stuff and bicycles. Excellent stock of car accessories and mechanical tools. Would recommend this place for quick shopping visits.

  The retail part of the store is clean friendly and well organized. I am disappointed with the Mechanics tho. The service staff are for the most part easy to work with but an oil change does not take an hour to do. They do great work but it takes way too long to do.

  AVOID at all COSTS! Corrupt and when got caught, would not admit they were in the wrong! Had my van beak down on the highway on a Sunday and had to get towed here, as it was the only place open. They took advantage of this fact and that I was from out of town when they diagnosed my problem and stated it would take 5 hours of labour to fix [$600], with only $40.00 in parts. When I questioned this, the mechanic became very aggressive and stated he did not have to fix my van at all. This was all heard by the people also working at the front. I was desperate to get home that evening with my 10 year old daughter, so I reluctantly agreed. When I got back, my mechanic and I went over the bill and found: 1 - They charged for 5 hours of labour but the bill shows I was only there for 3 hours 2 - They charged for a Mass Air Flow [MAF] sensor cleaning for one hour, when it takes 10 minutes max [Remove part and spray solvent scary on and let dry] I spoke to their manager on the phone after that, but he stated he would 'appease' me and give my back one hour labour. I stated I wanted admittance of their fraudulent actions, a full refund and insurance they won't do it to others but they refused in a patronizing way. I even spoke to Canadian Tire corporate, but also to no avail. So dear reader, take the to heart - first review I have ever written on google - AVOID THIS GARAGE and other CANADIAN TIRES - a systematic billing system is in place. Get a good mechanic you can trust and avoid shysters that run this place!
