  This is a wonderful and beautiful museum. There are many interactive elements with the displays which help capture your attention. I enjoyed the flow of the museum and the movements between subjects. Be prepared to spend more than a couple hours. On our trip we went around for just over 3 hours and we still didn't see it all.

  A great day out for people of all ages. I visited with my wife and friends with a young child and we all really enjoyed it. The hall of history is fantastic with history of Canada going back thousands of years. There is plenty of interactive exhibits to interest young and old minds. We also visited the temporary exhibits which were very interesting including Dreamworks and "Death in the ice" about Sir John Franklin’s tragic expedition. One trip to the museum was no enough as it is so big so either dedicate the whole day or plan to return. There is lots of parking available underground and also it is free to visit ob Thursday evenings. We will be back again soon.

  The Canadian History pavillon is a must see for any Canadian or tourist who wants to truly understand this nation and its people. Immigrants should get free admission since most of the history taught at school is biased by the provincial education agenda of modern days politics. My two children from Montreal still don’t get to see what Canada is all about and they are 10 and 12 years old. Plan for a full Day if you want to maximize your investment in time and enlightenment.

  This is a magnificent museum. I spent an entire day in the First Nation's exhibit that is almost the entire first floor. Never really completed seeing everything. We certainly plan a return visit to complete that exhibit and have a look at others, this time we will plan a full weekend but still do not expect to be able to see it all. They have quite a lunch bar but I hate to rate it as they we were almost the last client we were there so there were in closing mode, that said they looked after us with a smile.

  Absolutely awesome meal at the bistro, amazing staff. Coming from New Brunswick the museum was absolutely huge and we didn't have enough time to go through it all. The Children's Museum reminded me of Main Street Disney and kids running around thrilled with all the interactive activities, getting their passports stamped and seeing different cultures. If we lived here we'd have a membership and spend a lot of time visiting. Hope to come back again someday, very proud to be Canadian.
