It's well done, post renovation. There almost seems to be too much to see or do. It would be overwhelming for younger visitors. They had a little exhibit on quantum mechanics which I enjoyed. They still have the mining exhibit and the trains. I would have preferred if the exhibit on quantum mechanics and computing had been expanded and moved into a general area, say, where the mining exhibit is. Mining may be our past but quantum theory may be our future.

Was pleasantly surprised when we visited the Science and Technology Museum. They have a wide variety of displays and my kids thoroughly enjoyed them. The special exhibit was Video Games which showed the history of Video Games which I appreciated more than my kids did. Parking was quite limited. We got there early so we were able to find a close spot. It was $8 to park all day which was also valid at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum which we visited after so that was a plus. We have a family membership at the Ontario Science Centre as we live in Toronto and they have reciprocal membership with the Science and Technology Museum so we did not have to pay any thing else. We just showed our membership card.

I remember going here before the major redesign and reopening when I was in grade school and it was great then. Now I am studying physics at university and I really love the modern approach the museum has taken. If your someone who studies science at the university level you may find yourself looking around going "is that it?" I found it was a little 'basic' at times but presented science and technology in a way that is easy to understand for everyone of all ages but I do wish that the museum provided additional information on some of the exhibits for more advanced viewers. All in all I think its a great place and I hope it inspires more kids to get out and get into STEM!

So great to have this facility opened again! My grandson had a blast in the kid zone....but there were a lot of fabulous exhibits to check out! Great "Ottawa" place to go spend the day with your family. Very accessible (except, unfortunately, the all time "classic" crooked kitchen) There's also extra wheelchairs and strollers if need be. Glad they kept the trains but would love to see the others they have too!

We were waiting for a long time for this museum to open, and it did not disappoint. My son loves mechanical and scientific devices and had a blast here. Not only do they have an entire section dedicated to kids, but the rest of the museum has been designed with kids in mind so everything is approachable and fun for the little ones. We easily spend half a day here. The cafeteria is also good: decent quality and price but not the greatest selection. Overall, I would strongly recommend a visit to anyone with children.
