I love this place! In the summer, I like to stop in on my way to work and buy a raisin bun the size of my face for $2. The sausage and onion pastry is also delicious and rich (though quite greasy) if you're looking to grab a quick lunch. There's nowhere to sit, however, so you have to eat on the go. The staff is friendly and community-oriented -- they remembered my order after only a couple of visits. One time, the cashier couldn't make change for my $20, so he waved his hand and said I could just pay next time. This bakery is a Montreal landmark! I'm now a devoted fan.

une quantité exagérée de graisse pour garder les vieux gâteaux moelleux an exaggerated amount of fat to keep old cakes soft

Unusual experiences depending on who is the sales person on that day! I bought a cheese danish which costs $2 or $2.50! I was charged twice! Also the bakery output is not the same everyday! Otherwise a handy place to drop if hungry for bread! Best spot near the Portuguese Parc!

I love the savory pastries. I've been going back the past few weeks and I adore their Italian sausage, onion pastry! Very cheap but very tasty! Most of the staff are friendly!
